All went well, except that after explaining the history of how DGD came to me, etc up to the present situation is depressing.
I have to wait two weeks for a dedicated worker, then they should support me for the next 6 months and put a team of support, introduce Dgs1 to have play therapy. See about getting dgd further support sooner.Dgs1 is being a tie rag at the moment. Kicking and screaming because his brother took a lego man off him.

I managed to hem a top, and do 3 masks and that was my lot today.
Tomorrow is another day, and I have zips to do.

Thanks both,X
I was rather drained yesterday, and while DS was still here he actually listened to me telling him that I am trying to reduce tech, and that he is not to bring his Xbox in. He got the lego out with Dgs1 and built some amazing aeroplanes, while on their own, ( while I was sewing). Then he also made a boat for Dgs2 when he got back from nursery. I stopped sewing at 3 and rested on the sofa with them playing. I did sausages pasta and baked beans for an early tea at 4.30.
Dad gave them a bath and put them in their pjs. Then borrowed my car to go home so the gf didn't have to drag her children out to come and get him, and to come back at lunchtime. He did my Mums little shop for her as well.
I don't need the car as we walk to school.
It was not all roses, Dgs1 had one huge tantrum over a lego person and started throwing things, Dad out him on the step and he kicked off and stormed up into his room. Until he needed the loo. But he was fine very soon.
dgs2 was tired and asking for bed at 6.30 so I put him down, Dgs1 watched 30 mins of cartoons and was in bed just before 7.30 and so I went to bed and wrote my diary, fantasied by looking at houses on Rightmove, and lights out by 9.
i expected a very early morning but was surprised that he didn't wake until 5.50.
For the first time neither boy demanded tech. We came down to the front room, put milkshake on tv and they are playing with the lego and some of the toy garages. Winning!
At the end of last week I used my Gateway access to update my tax credits etc, so I hadn't realised that I could see what adjustments and my next payment was going to be. So I logged on this morning and see that I am going to have an extra payment for the adjustment on Friday. So 20% is going into the savings account along with the back payment from the guardian funding changes. The rest will go between the clothing, holiday and debt accounts. We have confirmation that both parts of our summer holidays are now moved to next summer. Although I really want a holiday I think it is too soon to go to a potentially crowded area with no vaccine for Covid19 yet.Perhaps we will use our vouchers from easter to rent a caravan towards the end of the summer or at halfterm in the autumn. But I would not be going to a big site if I did. I must get the brakes master cylinder sorted out on the campervan, and once the driving lessons are back on track, I might see if there is anywhere that I could practice on a larger vehicle. But that's in the future. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.7 -
Good morning.
Feeling tired this morning, because I stayed up later and watched some programmes recorded previously. Then I had some weird dreams. Dgs2 woke at 2.45 and it took a while to settle him so he woke his brother. Both had a drink and finally settled by 3.30am
dgs1 crept into my bed about 6.40 and wriggled around and wanted to be in my comfy bed. It is rare he does things like that, or want to be close. Dgd2 woke 10 minutes later.
I have had my cup of tea. Now I need to get moving.
DS has still got the car, so he can come back to collect Dgs1 at 1pm.
I tried sewing yesterday and Biggest came over mid morning to do some unpicking for me. I am finding it difficult at the moment. So really doing only one thing at a session. So it is going to take me a few days to do what I used to do in one day.
I am sending any new work to my old seamstress. I really feel odd doing that, but needs must.DS is going to take Twin2 back to her place in Cornwall, so we can send her with store cupboard foods, and all her stuff rather than her going on the train. Her landlady has told her that the ExBF has moved out, but unfortunately he took the extension lead and that meant her freezer was off so she will need to replace it all.!!But at least he has gone.
I will raid my Armageddon cupboard to send her back with tea, sugar, pasta, soup etc. Then she will use her train fare money to restock her freezer.
I know that the fuel will cost me more than the train fare but I would know that she is safe, has everything she needs and DS will make sure all is well and she's home .
DS has been very active in applying for jobs, although half the world is probably chasing the same jobs. But he seems to be cleaner again, he's trimmed and shaved his beard and looks less like a down and out. He continues to give me a little money each week without me asking. I hope the GFs influences are working.
right move !!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.7 -
Not very productive today.
several issues with Dgs1 on way to school. Late start in the cabin.
I managed another dress that needed letting out and a new zip. Two masks and unpicked the bodice from a dress I am trying to rescue that another seamstress made a basket of. I cut out a new lining for it. But by 2 I had to stop. My hand is not playing ball.
DS collected the kids etc but went home about 4.30 via the post office for me.
I tried sleeping between 3.30 and 4.30 but it wasn't to be.
Boys don't seem to want to eat their dinner, and I am just trying to make a pasta bake for the rest of us. To be honest I am not feeling hungry, or the love for food either. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.3 -
I think you are still overusing your hand .
please please try to do less sewing, you could be storing up problems for the future otherwise.Norn Iron Club member 4735 -
