Many people on MSE have been scammed by Shaw Academy. If you do a search for the name in the box at the top of this page (not the search restricted to this board, but the one which covers the whole of the MSE Foruum) you will see what many people have posted about them, and how some of them succeeded in getting their stolen money back.

I listened to the first lesson realised it was far too basic for my existing knowledge on this subject and cancelled on day 2. Despite doing this I have been billed by them £45 supposedly for "materials" I phoned them to dispute and was told to email billing for a refund but they are insisting that because they "can't tell" if I downloaded and used the materials or not they will not refund it. I'm pretty miffed about it to be honest and will never use Shaw Academy again. Just dont want anyone else to be caught out1

Marstercard gift voucher reward - how on earth do I get it? All I have is a 16 digit Alphanumeric code.
Clicking on the "Claim your card" takes me to https://www.prepaiddigitalsolutions.com/ - which seemingly won't accept that code anywhere
I have searched the forum and see people are using theirs by adding them to Paypal or Amazon but it seems I need the actual Card number and expiry date for that and I don't know where to find those. I'm completely bemused!0 -
You don't have to enter the code at PPDS - the link to it carries all the information. You will be offered the choice between a digital Mastercard worth £5 or a physical one worth £2 (does anybody really take that?!). You will be asked to confirm, and finally you will be taken to the details of the card. Oh, you will have had to enter your name and address, as well. All you need for Amazon is the card number, your name as known to Swagbucks, and the expiry date, they don't ask for the security number. Add it to your existing card(s), setting it to default, then top up your Amazon account from that card. Then delete the card again!

I open the email and click the link that says "view my giftcard"
It asks my password then takes me to a Swagbucks page with a button to "Claim your card" and I click that
That takes me to PPDS but with an error message that says
"Oops there was a problem.
We were unable to verify the information you provided. You should have received an email from service@prepaiddigitalsolutions.com outlining next steps."
But I've not had an email from them. So I'm stuck!0 -
Oh dear! I've been using their e-Mastercards from Swagbucks for quite some time without problems, but I vaguely remember struggling at the start. Have they prompted you to set up a PPDS account? Whenever I get a new card from Swagbucks it ends up in my existing PPDS account. Next time I have one (in a day or two, I guess) I can post here with the exact procedure I go through - at the moment I'm just dredging my memory.3

I suspect I will have to try Swagbucks help unless someone else has set one up recently and solved it. Maybe after a stiff G&T0 -
