I Swagbucks really worth using?
I've seen a lot of negative comments about the platform recently and I get the impression your only going to get something out of it if you refer a million friends.0 -

Personally, I do have a second zero-hour job (currently not happening due to the pandemic) so for me it would make much more sense to do a few hours there, than spend anytime on SB.
I tend to multitask when doing these things so for me it's just earning a bit extra whilst watching TV/travelling. I don't sign up for the Discover things as I don't want to be installing anything so I'm pretty much just doing the minimum. I know it'll be a slow build but that's the balance that works for me.
I left SB a few years back due as I was too busy and it was getting quite time-consuming/offers getting worst/threats to get banned. With these things, if they think you are being fraudulent they can just close your account and you lose everything, so definitely cash out regularly.
Overall though, I think as long as you aren't spending hours on this a day, it's fine. If it is more, maybe try to find an alternative income option (which might be limited atm).2 -

For me only a bit more time spent actually having to engage with activities a couple of years ago paid £65 to £100 a month that is now closer to £10 to £20 a month as the "leave it to run and earn" activities have gone (including mobile video apps that could mostly just be left running and bring in £25 to £40 a month) and the loss of these activities also had knock on with losing £5 to £10 with the monthly bonuses - I never bothered with downloading apps and rarely signed up to anything but just opening an e-mail address to use with swagbucks and the offers on there is handy as it should keep any extra spam easy to spot as it will be the only stuff going to that e-mail.2 -
Any advice on achieving tracked transactions when going through the shop?! Twice now I’ve been through retailers and not had the transaction track. Super frustrating and only get that unhelpful response from CS.0

Use a separate browser only for shopping, set it to clear cookies on exit and make sure Ad Blockers are disabled and pop-ups enabled.

Just be aware folks. I recently did the Shaw Academy cashback which was supposed to be a months trial and as long as you cancelled you wouldn't be charged. I listened to the first lesson realised it was far too basic for my existing knowledge on this subject and cancelled on day 2. Despite doing this I have been billed by them £45 supposedly for "materials" I phoned them to dispute and was told to email billing for a refund but they are insisting that because they "can't tell" if I downloaded and used the materials or not they will not refund it. I'm pretty miffed about it to be honest and will never use Shaw Academy again. Just dont want anyone else to be caught out4

Google (other search engines are available) "Shaw Academy scam" or similar search term. Guardian did an article on this last summer I believe.1
