It may be some good news on the horizon, add in the shortening of quarantine to 5 days with negative test, maybe Vegas isn't too far away?

I moved my Wynn reservation to March, but realistic aiming for May as a more realistic time to goManaged to use my BA 241 voucher when they had their 50% reward sale. The Virgin sale is tempting, especially if the US is opening up soon(ish)..

Think you get offered vouchers if things go pete tong next year regarding flights...
bobby - not bragging as such, but i not paid for rooms/suites since 2015,
Wifey doesnt gamble like me, she more sensible! (i just tend to think i win and lose it all !)
Highest suite offers are the Media & 2 bedroom Panaram suite in MBAY, corner Suite in Aria, Cyprus in Belagio, 2bedrm suite in Mirage.
Wifey likes the idea of 2bedroom!haha !
Freeplay is $400 & Credit is $400 in any.
We do 4nts MGM - 4nts Caesars - 4nts MGM group
So i checked with Virgin flying club on there sale + using my reward voucher from the VA+ credit card (2-4-1 or cabin upgrade)..
Yup, it works... I can book a PE flight in Sep for LHR-SFO / LAX-LHR for 27400 airmiles, and get free upgrade to Upper Class paying £664 tax/fees on that flight..
Or i can x2 PE flights for 27400 airmiles total and £474 each in fee's...
And as Pedro said, the BASpecial code at present for flights, aint bad either...
Tthe VA flight for PE costs £878 , yet go with BA on the A380 , its £704 (or £443 in econ)
Netflights are doing the VA flight for £836.
The Virgin guy said last night, i could cancel my June PE vegas flights (airmiles), get refund of miles and pay £30 x2 cancellation fee, then i could re-book our June flights using the original 2-4-1 voucher from last year to book x2 UpperClass tickets, although no availability on the Vegas flight, so we would have to do a LAX rtn flight which i dont mind....
67400 airmiles total & £667 in fees per person + factor the £30 each cancel fee = £700 for x2 upper class tickets..
I would have enough points left to cover x2 econ flights at 15000 using this years 2-4-1 voucher for our Sep flight, or make my dad pay full rate and i juse the voucher to get PE for 15000 airmiles + £474 ............
ohhhhh decisions decisions!
Probably end up in Weston-Super-Mare though if it all goes wrong!

I think I have asked this before on an old thread as its been a few years since i went but does anyone on here play golf in Vegas? Im looking for recommendations of best courses to play and of course any good deals if they are out there?0

Yesterday I rang Virgin Atlantic to book the deal we saw on their site yesterday.
I waited about an hour and a half before finally getting through to speak to someone.
I was going to book Man-Lax return.Flying out using economy classic, returning in upper class.
The cost was 41,200 points and £399 each...companion flight meant £800 for the two of us.
When the women answered, and I told her what I was after, she told me to “hold” again.
30 seconds later I was cut off, I was livid having waited so long to get through.
Today I received an email about the fantastic Black Friday deals, went back online to see if the flights we were after had improved or not.
The flight we couldn’t book because we were cut off are now 67,000 points and flight prices are £647 each.
Great Black Friday deal that is...we aren’t booking now, just going to wait until we feel life is somewhere near normal before committing to next trip.0 -

although i got through brats, it was 1hr 43 mins before i spoke to the guy (who was helpful)..
However, come to book today, and the airmile prem seats to SFO at 12pm are gone(6pm too late to fly)..
Gonna treat my dad to the 2-4-1 prem seats instead of me going upper class...
Picture Cousin Eddie from Lampoons Vegas Vaction, that me turning up in the clubhouse ! peeps may take offense!

Tried that code someone mentioned for BA. September 2 weeks, normal seats + luggage on way out, premium economy on way back. Glasgow. £750 each. Not bad actually. BUT, I'm not booking until I know it will be normal.
Don't want to start booking flights only to get caught up in cancelled holidays if I don't need to.1 -
How fickle am I ?
After posting that we definitely wouldn’t look to go again until things settle down...I’ve just gone and booked Virgin Flights.
The good price I seen disappeared, so was going to leave it.But checked again today, and it was back.So the two of us booked using points and companion flight for September.
Manchester to LAX return, economy classic going out, upper class coming back for 41,200 points and just under £800 taxes.
Customer service said cancel anytime up to 24 hours before departure for only £30 each.
So no real risk involved.
Also booked 4 nights comped at Park MGM, and 2 nights comped at Aria...again nothing to pay yet, and free cancellation.
So.....we may not be going to Vegas next year, but we maybe will 😄....It’ll only cost us a maximum of £60 if we choose not to go should there still be issues by late summer next year.
Worth the risk.3
