I am keeping everything crossed that this is actually a possibility:

I know, there are more important things now, but having something to look forward to, makes it a bit easier right now.

Whilst May 11th may be a date they are looking at returning shows etc the point I would make is until international flights are allowed back in and out of America most places will be empty.

I would would say there is little to no chance of international flights being allowed back in to the USA by that date.  I am doubtful about my Aug flight given that the peak in the UK is expected late May, early june and I believe the USA are behind us

Only time will tell, right now, I don't think anyone really knows anything or can predict how long it will take. Even the experts seems to disagree, hence such a difference between the measures taken around the world. We've jut been told here in Gibraltar, that we are effectively in lockdown from Tuesday for 30 days. Anyway, I won't make this into a COVID-19 thread :) Husband and I have a little bit of a hope that our trip will still go ahead at the end of May. But if it doesn't, then it is what it is. Stay safe everyone x

Not surprisingly this thread is very quiet at this time.
This might not be time appropriate but I'm getting the itch of wanting to go back to Vegas next year so checked into my MLife account to see what offers they have - Excalibur hotel for 7 days (4 days comped) for a total  of $50 - that's right $7 or so per night!! (I know the resort fee of about $280 is payable).
Very tempting to book it because they have free cancellation just to lock the price in.

Could some of the better hotels drop their prices to entice punters back? Discuss please.

jonesMUFCforever    i totally understand where you are coming from  with regards having the *vegas itch*so to speak!
I guess there is no issue booking the hotel if it is     free cancellation!
when   were you  thinking of going back ?
    kind regards

What’s the best way to find the best deal for Caesars group hotels? They’ve changed the website since I last used it (years ago). Is it still a case of going to calendar view for all hotels for a month and seeing what are listed as comp? (I think you used to have to go via. Hot deals or similar to see comps in the past)

I’m Diamond, so may as well try to make the most of no resort fees, no parking fees the $100 restaurant credit etc by staying there

Is it worth applying for ESTA now, or hold off till ( hopefully ) things calm down in the States ?
I have an existing booking for Paris in September .

Have you had one before? I believe you can apply now, but it will just say pending until they lift the restriction for UK visitors. I haven’t looked at the website recently to see what message they have regarding eligibility. We should have flown in last night for 6 weeks. It is all cancelled, and I haven’t the heart to look myself just now.
    Stay safe everyone.

We were looking at end Feb 2021 or beginning of March although I should be able to go at any time next year - with the demise of Thos Cook only Virgin fly direct from Manchester and they only fly in summer. Gatwick flights are coming up very reasonable at about £550 direct with BA but for us getting there is a 6 hour trek by train.
I was just thinking that the casinos would be so desperate to get visitors back by offering mega deals - even the nicer ones such as Bellagio or Caesars - guess we will have to wait and see.
