I’m booked with Expedia to go out in May (18th) flying BA (but through AA) and staying at MGM Grand. After today’s press release can I expect a call from Expedia or is it to soon to start expecting any advice? I really haven’t got a clue how to proceed from here...
I do have travel insurance in place but not even sure if I need to speak with them because Expedia should hopefully direct me on the correct course of action. I know it’s still 9 weeks away yet but I’m left in limbo with regards planning, would really appreciate any advice and hope not too many of you are in a similar boat as I am....
Typically I had booked all my shows and a few tours about a week before the initial corona outbreak 😥1 -

Thanks for the info. To be honest I’m still none the wiser as unsure whether I need to speak with Expedia (can’t even get through after being in hold due to massive demand etc) or speak with BA (who the flight is with) or American Airlines (who the charter is)??? Wish I’d booked through a travel agent so at least they can sort it all!Never mind though, there’s always somebody in the world worse off than yourself so I’ll keep smiling!1

You need to speak to expedia and not the airline. The short version is, if your travel hasn't commenced, it is up to your travel agent to make the amendments or handle any refund claims. The airline can only make changes after you have started your travels. Saying that, as you are not leaving until mid May, I would hang tight for now. The travel ban lasts up until the 11th April, so there is still hope. At least that is what I am telling myself1
