    Morning,

Well, I have to own up. I had a large bar of Mint Aero last night and polished the lot off. So Roxie, don't feel too bad. I don't know what is wrong with me?? I am so good up until about 3pm and then it all goes to pot.

To be fair (although no excuse!) I have been a little down. What with my Nan passing and funeral next week and I was told Wed that my Grandad is poorly and in kidney failure which has upset me quite a bit. A was out last night and I was in alone and just kind of wondered out to the shops for something to do and then ended up with the old chocolate and through boredom and feeling a bit upset I managed to polish the lot off.

Still have kicked myself up the backside this morning as feeling fat is a big contributor to me feeling down and anxious at times (especially before a night out) so I know for my own good I need to work at this and I know I CAN do it with a bit of will power. Oooh I am SO SO SO mad at myself now!!!

Enough now. New day and all that.

So far I have had a cereal bar as not all that hungry this morning.

Best get back to work. xx

dont feel bad - its done now so there's no point. you're right, today is a new day! maybe dont be quite so strict on yourself to start with - factor in a couple of treats, ie 2 treatsize chocs or a 'lower cal' full size bar. I'm loving fab lollies as there's only 100 ish calories in them - mini milks are also good - you can get a little choccie fix! i dont buy big bars anymore because i can easily eat it in one sitting! i do love mint aero thou!

ps - i finished my two glasses of wine of with a gu choc cheesecake which is 400 cals right there so dont you're not the only one. just gonna do the davina today to make up for it!

on a money note - popped into the shop yest for milk and ended up spending £15 :o Its been ages since i've done that as I normally shop online as crowds make me panicky but it was quiet so i thought i'd just pop in! its soooo easy - thou dais, you'll be pleased to know that I bought salad! (sssshhhhh about the choccie cheesecakes and wine...)

  • Hi,

Exercise is a def for both of us today then! I am probably going to hit the gym this evening, need to start using it more often as just wasting money really.

    So far today...

    Breakfast - cereal bar
Snacks - 2 slices wholegrain toast with marmalade and glass of cranbury juice.

Lets see if I can't eat sensibly today then. Bored at work :-(

So fed up today!!! Work boring, feeling fat the normal stuff. Own enemy sometimes.

Older sister just texted to say just had scan. She has them often due to medical history, announced that she is having another boy. That's number 5! Great news but feeling a little down as been feeling broody (prob the hormones) and can't actually see when I am going to have one. We need to buy a house - when who knows!! I have to clear my debt....can't see that happening soon and once more I would prefer to be married but A still happy living the life that we are carry's on as if nothing has to change. I am SO fed up at the moment and feel like my life is really stuck in a rut.

Sorry just needed to rant, silly mare that I am, I am now sat in tears...pathetic.

Got to go blow my nose and sort my messy face....post later x

    Hi Roxie,

Sorry not been on in a while - work has been so busy lately, and we've had a couple of weekends with family parties / visiting old friends.

And hi to you too Sorting It, hope you're feeling a bit better? I'm sending you a hug (I'd give you a virtual one but I haven't figured out the symbols yet).

Had a quick catch up and must say Roxie, you are so right about David Cook on American Idol! I didn't like him at all at first, and then when he did Billie Jean I was blown away, and he's grown on me ever since. But as for Mariah Carey, that was amazing. All the way through I was hoping someone would do 'Always be my baby' (for some sad reason I really love that song!), but when all the girls had finished I though, 'oh, a boy would never do that'. And then they said David was and I was a bit worried, but it was just the best thing ever. Afraid I'm now obsessed with re-watching it on You Tube (just search 'always be my baby idol' and it comes up with loads). If he released that I would honestly buy it today.

Congrats on getting stuck in on the exercise / healthy eating thing as well. I think the most important thing is that you eat good proper food (not processed, ready-made, salty, fatty MSG rubbish), and you seem to have that covered with all your home cooking. If more kids learnt to cook at home like yours then we'd all be much healthier. A girl at work (23, and with a degree!) asked me the other day how to make mashed potato. I'm only a couple of years older than her, so thought she must be joking, so I said 'erm, cook a potato, and mash it?', really sarcastically, and she was like, 'oh, yeah, right, I thought that was probably it', a bit embarrassed. I felt really bad afterwards, she obviously thought all mash came out of a packet. It's not her fault though! </p>

Anyway, enough of my ranting. Just wanted to say hi!xx

lol - dtw - already watched it over and over on utube - think i'm a little bit inlove - but he's not even hot (muchly) - he's just fab! loved always be my baby.

SI - awww honee it really sucks when you are down, I know. Just a thought, virtual hit me if you want, but do you think you're getting a bit hung up on 'the perfect way?' I mean, if you're broody it doesnt have to be such a distant out there in the future/never gonna happen thing. I mean, look at the positives - U and A both have good jobs, u have a stable relationship, you're young and healthy. I know the debt is a big prob but really a baby costs as much as you want it to. Our circumstances were far from ideal when we had cobes, and even when we had todd d was on quite a low wage and we were renting, but we managed. We weren't married either - I wanted to, he didn't. what can you do? Cant force someone. At the end of the day - its a piece of paper. I love being married but living together/having babies were a much bigger commitment. He had to come round to the idea - and it took some doing, believe me!!
House wise, could you look at shared ownership schemes - with A being in the police I think you'd qualify for key worker schemes. Its how we got our foot on the ladder and has been brilliant for us.

Dont be down hum - it'll all come to you with time. And if it doesn't - make it happen! Maybe a big blow out chat with A and a 5 year plan would be a good idea (or figure out the 'plan' first before talking to him so you know what you want). I'm a big fan of the 5 year plan - makes me feel like my goals are in sight and gets me clear on what I need to do to make them happen - feel proactive and in control rather than helpless.

Everytime I watch it on you tube I think 'I hope some music exec somewhere is checking how many hits this gets and will release it'! And I'm a bit in love too (although why? He's not exactly a stunner is he?!)

    Hey,

dtw - thanks for the hug. I haven't worked out the symbols yet either. I bet it's easy!!

Roxie - thanks for your kind words and advice. Really appreciate it. I guess I am trying in some ways to have it as they say the 'perfect' way. I think it comes from having such a disfunctional family and I want to be/am so different from them in many ways. I know it will all happen in time and don't want to get too hung up on it. Normally I can let these things go but just lately I have been thinking about it a lot and maybe I do need a blow out talk with A - will have a think of what I want to say etc rather than going into it all emotional as I am now.

I think just recent events and the fact that I am feeling particularly low isn't helping me much at the moment. Still have to pick myself up and not let it get to me.

Also think A would qualify for keyworker type things so may have a look into that. It's a start and gets us onto property ladder sooner. Thanks.

Got to go as not got much work done today - suprised my supervisor isn't on the phone!! xx
