Roxie,
I have just made it right the way through your thread (it's taken 3 days!!!) Just had to say that this year is a Leap Year - so he owes you an extra quid!!!!!!
Have a lovely dinner out tonight.
Good luck with the baby plans.
I'll be looking out for your future posts.

no you are right tut - I read that too - its esp bad after having a baby as the muscles are weaker. However, I have a friend who was forever doing situps when we were in our teens - she was obsessed with ahving a flat stomach - and she is childless and a size 8 yet still has a 'bum' belly from doing too many situps! teehee - so there is abit of justice in the world!

Had a lovely catch up with my friend last night - thou drank and ate too much!
It's our anniversary technically tomo but as we're going out for a meal tonight we've exchanged gifts. Mine was a cheque from dale for 365£ ("one for every day you've made me the happiest husband in the world" - awwww) and instructions to go on a shopping spree. Now this leaves me with a dilemma - lovely lovely thought but should I be putting it in our savings account instead. He wouldn't want me to, and part of me thinks I should grab an opportunity to treat myself to new clothes with both hands - it doesnt come that often. but on the other hand £365 is a lot of money!

well - 4 hours shopping and the money was gone - eeek! dale said i wasn't allowed to save any - that it was my treat and i should enjoy it and not feel guilty. i do feel a bit guilty now thou
did get a dress, shoes and bag for a weddiong that i had to buy anyway thou - so thats not too bad. wore the dress last night - it looked lovely! also got another pair of shoes, 2 gorgeous bag and umpteen tops - didnt buy jeans as I couldn't fit into a 14  so refused to buy a 16! just need to do some work on my thinghs and bum! the thing is, I think i must carry it well cos noone will believe i'm that size - the assistant in topshop was insisting I was never a 14 and should take some 12's to try! I couldnt even get the 14's on!!
i was really happy with how i looked in the dress thou - i'm a curvy girl so dresses either look awful or great, depending on the cut! cant wait for the wedding to wear it again!
dinner was great - wonderful to spend time with d. althought the food wasnt great. we went to his new swanky place and i had a beef in red wine main course thing and the potatoes were freezing cold! i couldn't be bothered to complain thou - and the company made up for the food.

Hey!
Sorry not been about. Been a tad hectic with looking for places etc and work has just been a mare!
Wow - lucky you with the £365! So glad you went shopping and spent it on yourself. If I had read the post earlier you would have def received a post from me telling you to treat yourself. I can't wait for the day I can go out and shop til I drop...long way off though!
Think we have possibly found a place to rent. It has been hard though as we don't want to spend too much on it as temporary until we are ready to buy and then at the same time we don't want something that we are unhappy living in. We have seen a flat that we like and within walking distance to the town square and train station (for London) so keeping fingers crossed. I really don't want to move though :-(
What kind of dress did you buy then? I too am curvy girl and for the life of me have real trouble finding things. If not my chest getting in the way, then it's my hips or bum. Nightmare!! Been really bad on the old eating front too as been feeling stressed about the move. Of that's my excuse anyway!
Oh, forgot to say best mate had her little girl. Baby Poppy. She is lovely and had made me quite broody for a baby at the minute. Sure it will pass.
Right will stop yapping now.
Take care and speak soon.0 -
hey!!
so glad you may have found a place!
the dress was from oasis - not bad at £50 I thought. Its a classic little black dress with a white bow around the middle - looks really good with curves. I've got big boobs, big hips and bum and a little waist and it looked great - normally I find things nowadays are made for skinny minnies so it was nice to find something that looked good!
d's nagging for the comp so will have a proper catch up tomo!

Morning!
Dress sounds nice. I love Oasis, can always find something nice in there. Sounds like you are shaped just like me, 12 on top, 10 waist and 12 bottom half and sometimes 14 depending on what shop I am in. It's a mare as you can never quite get a blouse or top to fit just right. If you buy big to fit round the boobs it looks horrible around the waist etc. Need I go on, I am sure you know all about it!!
Have to go as should be working - naughty! Speak soon.xx0 -
Yes exactly - and dresses are awkward as if they fit on the top they 're always tight around the thighs and tummy - either that or they just dont fit at all!
We're actively baby trying now - eeeeek!MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j
