Morning.
Everything is ticking along, school still isn't open to more children so i'm just going in Thursday and Friday this week.
Finances are ok, CB gone into account today and have sent £100 to CC, no sign of refund for DS bus pass will give it another week and then chase it up. £5 M&S voucher redeemed from RM postal site.
Went to see grandma (socially distanced in the garden)yesterday as she had phoned me in a panic because she couldn't go out to pay some bills and her eyesight is terrible so she can't read the numbers on her card to ring up and pay, so went and sorted that out for her, also got her some cash out of the bank and did her some shopping, she is getting groceries delivered from the village shop but had run out of cash to pay for it. Actually made me wonder how many elderly people are in a position that they are scared to go out, don't have internet to order groceries, pay bills etc and have no one to help them, there will be a lot that have fallen through the net.
Spends so far this week has been £10 on some compost and plants from our local farm shop, Mr t order coming later which will be around £100, forgot to add ketchup on the order so fingers crossed we have enough until Thursday when I go to work.
Hope everyone is ok xx

We have some people at work, obviously not elderly, who don't have the internet, live alone and are shielding due to health issues. I would hope they are getting help from family/friends but you just don't know. There's an elderly chap goes to my local Mr T Express who can barely walk but the staff just sit him on a chair and he tells them what he wants. I think there might be more people than we realise slipping through the net unfortunately. Your grandma is lucky to have you to keep an eye on her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Good news on the finances, I hope the refund turns up soon - I'm still hoping that ds trip is cancelled and I can put the £170 towards the debt instead!
Agree about how many older people could be struggling, I used to work in HSC and seem many people living alone with either no family to support them or not helping for whatever reason. Sad that we carers were the only adult conversation they had each day and even then trying to fit everything into a 30 minutes call was pushing it and some were even 15 minutes! It was awful.
What plants did you get? I'm thinking that our garden needs some colour and might have a look at a delivery as I'm not going anywhere near the garden centre!

Hi
Huggle I just bought some lavender plants, I love the smell and have planted them near the back door.
Not really much to update, work has been good the last few days, still not sure if we will get more year groups back before summer.
Received £35 in M&S voucher, so DH did a M&S shop this morning to top up fresh bits that we were low on, managed to spend £11 in cash after vouchers and the fridge is full of dairy, salad and lunch stuff, which will keep us going until Wednesday when I get a Mr T order.
Listed a few items on ebay this morning, don't know if they will sell but its worth a shot.
Hope everyone is ok xx

Hi also Tesco will accept a vulnerable order without reeling off your NHS number. They ask you 3 questions such as ...` could you get your shopping yourself, could anyone collect a click and collect order for you ( cant remember the 3rd!)
I have used Tesco since the start of Covid.5 -
HI penny, just checking in to see if everything is OK?
