  • I had a holiday booked for April with Jet2 and they phoned me a few days before we were due to fly and asked what I wanted to do. I asked them to take it off the balance of my August holiday then if that falls through rebook for October. They are working their way through the bookings in date order and you will hear something but you need them to cancel it to be entitled to a full refund. Hope this helps. They did say that they hope to start flying on 17 June but realise this probably won’t happen.
HI SA, my balance is due before 17th June, they have closed all their phone lines, removed the facility online to amend and cancel bookings and are ignoring all emails and messages, I would happily move my holiday to a later date if I could contact them rather than cancel, i'm just worried about them taking 3k from my bank account and then having to fight to get it back, surely they are breaking their terms and conditions as they have made it impossible for anyone to get in contact with them and it states on their website I can cancel before 70 days of flying and only lose my deposit, after 70 days I have to pay the full balance or cancel and pay 30%. I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens :(

You need to wait for them to ring you. They’ll ring from a 0113 number. Don’t worry you’ll get a refund or be able to rebook for next year. They’ve been really good but understandably have a lot of people to contact. Just hang in there.

HI, if it was me I would also rather lose the deposit and call the bank to cancel the next payment I would also be cautious about travelling anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Difficult to make a decision I bet, sorry!

Beautiful day today and have 3rd load of washing on the line, watered plants first thing and noticed loads of little flowers on the blueberry bush we have so hopefully will get a good crop this year. I have planted rocket and lollo rosso seeds this morning, my plan is to do this every couple of weeks which will hopefully give us a good crop of lettuce over the summer.
Ordered a fruit and veg box so that's £20 spent, also ordered grandma some flowers for her birthday next week, had budgeted £30 but used £20  m&s vouchers so only paid £10 actual cash, put the £20 saved into savings account, also put £80 in savings account yesterday as I wont be having my hair done this month and sent £60 to CC.
Made some pastry which i'm going to use for a quiche as there is some leeks and tomatoes that need using up and I have a glut of eggs, I have also made some honey and oatmeal soap using up some unscented bars of soap I have had for ages, grated u[the soap melted it and then added honey and oatmeal and poured it into a loaf tin to set, fingers crossed it turns out ok.
Was in work earlier in the week, everything feels strange regarding opening in June and everything that needs to be put in place, I don't know how on earth we are supposed to social distance 4 and 5 year olds and other things like staggering lunch breaks, staggering toilet breaks for the children, how on earth are teachers supposed to have their breaks or go to the toilet if we are not to mix with other classes,so another member of staff can't go into the classroom and watch a group of children whilst the teacher goes for a break, what happens if a child has a fall and need to be treated for a cut, or has a toilet accident. The government is telling us we don't need PPE unless a child is showing symptoms, then we need to wear it!!! If a child shows symptoms they must be removed from the class and wait in a separate room but who is going to wait with the child because a 4yr old cant be left alone but the teacher has to be with the other 14 children in the classroom who then have to go home a self isolate for 14 days, this is just a tiny amount of what the DofE is putting in place and none it makes any sense.

It's ridiculous isn't it? I just don't see how it can possibly work. Will parents want to send their children?
I was struggling to keep eight children apart in the playground today and when one banged her head I had to send her indoors to another staff member as I can't leave the other seven children on their own!  I'm not sure what our school are going to do. The HT is saying that 15 per class isn't safe but the details are still being worked out.
