Hope you had a good weekend, totally understand how you must feel about picking something up at work are there good systems in place to maintain distancing and hygiene?

Yep prices of a lot of things gone up, Ic*land milk is no longer £1 but up to £1.09 like the other supermarkets so no reason to go there now.

  • Afternoon, glorious day today outside, so there is washing on the line and I've started tidying the garage. Just having a quick mooch on here whilst having lunch.
Been a spendy week so far food wise, £20 on ice cream order from local ice cream parlour that is on a farm and makes there own ice cream, noticed at the weekend on FB they have started to do home deliveries in the local area, minimum spend was £20 so we now have loads of icecream, lamb arrived on  Monday so that has gone in the freezer, £120 last night on a Mr T order so both freezers are now fit to bursting and the cupboards are well stocked, did forget to buy dishwasher tablets so DH can get those at the weekend as we will need milk by then, should only need small shops for the rest of the month which should be mainly things like fruit and milk.
Received £25 M&S egift card so DH can use that for the next topup shop rather than using money in the bank, also redeemed £25 from another survey site, so waiting on £50 to hit account now.
Had to sort out some netting over my strawberry plants as the blinking chickens had started digging them up, did this and then they went and dug up a planter with marigolds in, so have replanted those and put some netting around the panter so hopefully they will keep away now.
Hope evryone is ok, take care xx
  • Another week gone by and wondering what is going to be announced tonight by PM, it's a strange time we are living in.
This week i managed to redeem  2 £10 swagbuck$ vouchers for M&S, usually wait until i hit £25 but wanted to fill swago board.
Also redeemed £20 paypal from another survey site.
Sent DH to M&S yesterday to do a top up of milk, fruit and other fresh bits, had a vouche for £5 off £40 and £40 in egift vouchers so the shopping was free and stocked up for another week.
Very frustrated with Jet2, balance for holiday we have booked in August is due beginning of June, we are still well before the 70 days that we can cancel but they have closed their phone lines, turned off the ability to cancel/amend holiday online.I'd be happy to move the holiday to next year if someone would respond to an email or message, i have only paid the deposit of £240 and would rather loose that than the £3000 that is to come out of my account at the beginning of june, i have sent countless messages and emails to them but they are no responding, did wonder about canceling my card so they cant take any money from it, does anyone know if that would work?

Sorry I put July meant the beginning of JUne.

penny sorry, I have no idea about the holiday.  We had the same dilemma a few weeks ago when our holiday balance with TUI was due.  We had paid off about £1000, so couldn’t afford to loose that money.  I’m the end, we paid it off and are going to push for a refund nearer the time.

If your balance is due in July, maybe you should just sit tight for a while.
It due beginning of June not July my mistake, it's just a nightmare :'(

    I know, it’s just awful.
We decided to pay off the balance and then wait for Tui to cancel.  In your case, it may be worth using writing off your deposit.  I’m sure they can’t take the money out of your account without your permission.

hope you get it sorted soon.

We had a phone call from tui few weeks ago, I asked for a refund as to change it to exactly same time next year they wanted £450 more. They said the refund would take 2 weeks, I'm now on week 3 and still no money, we was ment to have gone to spain this morning..
