Good morning, I hope all you lovely people are keeping well.
so sorry i have been missing! I have found the last 12 months really tough mentally(as a lot of people have) and decided to take a break from MSE and social media and just concentrate on my little family,
So work has been crazy all year, as i'm sure that anyone that works in education can relate to, I took on extra hours which i am still doing but will stop after the summer. DH has worked like a mad man all year but that's farming for you, trying to persuade him to take some time off this summer even though we are not going away.
DD is now driving and has finished school, next step for her is uni. DS is currently doing his A levels and is also learning to drive, very proud of both of them and how they have coped with the last 12 months.
Money wise we are ticking along ok, we have a few big bills to go out this month due to a big bathroom leak at one of the rental properties. CC has creeped up thanks to car repairs, some emergency electrical repairs and a few other bits.
Off to peg out and will update some more later.

I have also had my hoover in bits as it is not sucking properly and making a weird noise, cleaned the filters and brush bar and put it back together and its back to sucking although its still making a weird noise but hopefully it will last a bit longer.
BBQ for tea tonight, made tandorri chicken kebabs and also got sausages, I will also make a salad and roast some garlic new potatoes.
Also remembered i need to put my overtime in, will do that before i open the gin. xx2 -
Morning
Up early and catching up with some diaries, So far this morning i have let the chooks out who are laying well at the moment we are getting 5 eggs a day, so lots of egg based lunches and breakfasts at the moment. Washing pegged out and another load on, its never ending. Overtime put in and I have had an email to do the Royal mail surveys again which i think will start end of July.
Banking done and sent £100 to DS to go towards his next block of driving lessons.
Salmon out of the freezer for tonight's tea, think i will just do some cous cous and roasted veg with it, have some cream to use up so i'm thinking cream scones for a nice afternoon snack in the garden.
Today is going to be a pottering sort of day, bit of gardening, walk doggo and reading. I also have the house to myself for a couple of hours this afternoon as DH and DD are both at work and DS has cricket.

So good to have you back, absolutely agree that sometimes we need some time out and it's obviously been really busy for you.
Can't believe how much changes- kids driving / learning to drive, my dd can get her provisional license in November - that's scary!
Hope you have a lovely chilled out day although it actually sounds busy.

So 1 of my chooks escaped into the veg garden today and has scratched up a full bed of rocket, luckily it was ready to be picked so i have saved what i could and will now be having a green salad with salmon instead of roasted veg, there will also be enough rocket for my lunches over the next few days. Chook has been warned that if it does it again she is for the pot (only joking). Will need to sow some more rocket seeds but that's a job for later when it is a bit cooler. Also need to iron DS shirts but it's too warm at the minute.
Rhubarb stewed and decided i will us it for overnights oats this week for brekkie.
Scones are made but have saved them for after tea tonight.
Collected some sticks from the side of the drive which have gone in the kindling sack in the woodshed.
