I'm currently away so haven't read my letter yet.

From what i've read here the Issue 3 rate will drop to 2.3% in Feb and no new deposits will be allowed, then Oct/Nov it will revert to an 'online saver' type of account paying minuscule interest?

What is happening therefore with the Issue 4?
Issue 4 is unchanged (for now). Bonus restrictions still apply and deposits are allowed.

An update to the post from steve65e.

SportsAid .. this will be pulled on 28-12-2016.

RegSaver(2) .. The branch has no info on a replacement.

NEW: Tigers Regular Saver @ 2.5% available from 04-01-2017 and runs till June 2018.

    Opened the Tigers 2.5 today.

Understand the 2% Reg Saver 2 closes for new applicants on the 4th January and a new Regular saver 3 will be available on the 5th.

Don't know what happens to existing Reg Saver 2 holders or what the % on Reg Saver 3 is yet.
  • What is the new monthly pay-in max for the Nottingham BS Savvy Saver Follow-On a/c? I'm away from home (where my maturity letter is) and won't return until Jan. Nothing at all on their website, even under the 'Full range of savings products' tab!
    Opened the Tigers 2.5 today.
I was sceptical of S_S2's 4th Jan starting date because that would make the total max pay-in £250 short of the account max.

Concerning the Virgin Money "Branch" Regular saver - after opening the account in branch with a cheque, can you fund the next 11 payments with an online standing order. I don`t want to have to go into the branch once a month. I already have the "e" version.

    Nope, nope, nope!!!

I'm absolutely STRUGGLING thinking what to do with my money. I have just over 100k. 1/3 is in a S&S ISA despite this meant to be for a house deposit / emigration fund (so... risky!) but there's nowhere else I can think of putting it.

The other 2/3 is sitting in bank accounts. The one generating interest is Santander 123.. I have one, and another joint. All full.
Halifax is now not paying any interest as I need multiple direct debits, I think. TSB Enhance is dropping.

And I've "so much" cash that Regular savers are worth nothing to me. 5% on £2500? That's one month taken up... what do I do about the other 11??

What on Earth do I do.. I've been getting no interest for about half a year.

--> If I can set up 2 direct debits for each of my BoS accounts, that will at least take care of £15k. Ideas!? I already pay to some charities.
  • Hi Everybody,

Happy New Year to all of you! Here is this weekend's update.

I have removed the Nottingham BS SportAid account and added their Tigers account to post 3, paying 2.5% on up to £250 per month until 30th June 2018 (max £4,570) with no withdrawals until then. I have also put a note by their Regular Saver Issue 2 account to mark that we expect this account to be removed on 4th January. I will update this further next weekend.

For the post above from guitarman001, this is the wrong thread for your post. I would suggest you start a new thread of your own.

I will do another update next weekend.

I understand this is only available at branch, as there are none in Kent is anyone able to advise an alternative. Looking to save £200 per month.
