The ***** (fill in anything you feel appropriate) is unbelievable. He makes nonsense of all those people who lost loved ones & were not able to visit them because of lockdown etc. I can't even watch TV I am just too annoyed. Who the blazes does he think he is & what are those people thinking that say what he did was fine. It was very much not fine. But they all toe the line. Truth & honesty is a distant memory. As for behaving ethically, I doubt they even know what the word means.

What took me to the edge was his comment to the reporters about not practicing social distancing. Then again, why wouldn’t Boris think it was ok. He went to chequers to recuperate!Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Still I fume.
Ugh.
My friend thinks he will go but I don't. I don't think he will. pointless to be so angry but we will probably come out the worst country for this virus - how many people will suffer and die because of the selfish elite. feel so powerless. and old. grrrrr.
Anyhow...opinions.
If I have (don't but nearly do) 1000 in my emergency fund and 1000 in my vet fund do I need to keep adding to it?
I keep reading that I need 3 months salary? that seems like loads when I only have 5000ish for the deposit money(8000 savings over all - do I move things around a bit keep like a 3000 emergency fund + 1000 for vets) . I need about 50,000 to buy round here. Which is mental. I hate this. seems impossible to for me save enough event to buy even somewhere cheap. I really do seriously need to get back in the mind set of I don't have any money I cannot buy anything from any where ever again EVER>
And I massively apologise to people reading this who are in scary amounts of debt, I have been there and never really got that far out of debt if I am honest. Been out nearly a year now, 10 months today I think. I should be frightened by my lack of security at the moment - ie no house.
Any how I am going to go out in the garden as it doesn't seem to be as hot as yesterday. Will think some more. Cos we all know how good I am at that!

I paid the Credit card.
This was for
1. two pairs of sandals
2. two lots of summer clothes
3. the normal sub and save from Amazon for the pets
4. my sister's birthday
5. a new chest of drawers for my room.
6. some random ordering of chocolate, birthday presents for my friends' children.
7. Vets fees
It was 485 but have made other payments during the month.
I am quite skint now.
I really can't buy anything.

Re the emergency fund vs other priorities, I think it really depends on how likely it is that your salary would disappear and what the consequences would be. If you're self employed, 3-6 months makes a lot of sense - personally I don't think that is the best use of my money as my job is unlikely to go anywhere and I have a good redundancy package. So I've gone for the £1000 as that will cover most things, I still have a 0% card with a year to run for anything bigger, and other money is currently being earmarked for house deposit and decorating which will definitely be needed rather than emergency fund. A lot of the books try to write something that suits everyone rather than really thinking it through individually. Do what works for youThe flip side to bear in mind is that a house isn't security unless it's the one you want to live in for years. I got caught out with timing close to Brexit and nobody seems clear on what the pandemic will do to house values.Rosa xxDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

I am sitting here in man's pyjamas shorts and baggy t shirt. I have worn nothing but linen trousers or slightly passable pyjama trousers to the outside world. My standards have disappeared. I just went outside in fluffy slippers!! I want to wear a dress and nice shoes even if it is the supermarket!!
