Buffy have your room white if you want to. I had everything white (whole house) for years. I was so broke that I only had one tin of emulsion and one tin of gloss and after the boys went back to school in September I would go round touching up all the mucky bits - either side of the door frames. I used a child's seaside bucket filled with paste to glue down any edges of paper that were lifting and have even patched in 'anaglypta' type wallpaper in places where various boy related incidents had happened.
These days I go for off whites - warm, just a hint of colour, nothing as definite as cream or magnolia. White can be cold. It can be glaring in rooms which get a lot of sun and as it ages it looks mucky. Slightly warmer, white with a touch of (I know I've used one called linen white in some rooms last time I did all through) is kinder, softer, adds a touch of hygge to the room and as it ages it still looks fine - no-one knows what colour it was originally and it just seems to mellow as it matures. Still reflects lots of light where needed, but just a touch gentler.
But it's your room, your choice. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage1 -
milann said:I loose slowly too Buffy.I’m loving the long term plan but tbh if I saw a list as long as the holiday list I would have to go into hiding. Would it be worth breaking it into weekly or daily targets - still keeping the long list to tick them off on…..but seeing a smaller list might not be as overwhelming. I think you’ve done amazingly with the savings. Did I see any fun things on the list?stymied said:I was with you up to point 20 then like milann thought tooooooo much to fit in (cue running away scared and not doing any of it if you’re me!) xNevertheless she persisted.1

The white sounds lovely or hint of white. You can add whatever colour into the room with accessories. I went grey with my bedroom a few years ago and hate it….I’ve got white paint ready but I need to get a plasterer in to replaster the bay where we’ve had a leak first…..but I needed a break from workmen for a bit as it seemed never ending as we’ve had a lot done this last year.January spends - £587.582

My bedroom is white and I just added colour with accessories. Hints of white would be nice too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I love your bedroom SA, it is gorgeous, mine won't be that nice, it is too full of everything I own!
Mum finally noticed the garden, she said oh that was a big job.............and went back to the TV, luckily for me my friends saw the pictures and oo'ed and ahh'ed appropriately and I do try not to let mum's lack of attention affect me. It is hard but I know one of my sisters will turn up here eventually and criticise the house if it is a state. I don't think either of them will ever understand how difficult it is to live with her and how much she takes.
Any how, today is washing and cleaning out of the animals. I think I will put the house plants in the garden for a bit. phase one of the conservatory.Nevertheless she persisted.3 -
That bedroom is lovely SA. The curtains add brightness to it as well. I try to keep the house white to keep it airy looking but then forget to add any colour so it looks washed out! XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

Oh Boy.
It rained.
The conservatory flooded and then I went out to check on the rabbits, the foster buns area had totally flooded. It was running with water so I had to move them into the big aviary space, with barrier to keep the two pairs apart.
Every where round here has flooded and roads are closed.
It is is a bit stressy!Nevertheless she persisted.3
