Oh Buffy, I wish I lived closer to you. We could go for a wine and a whine 🍷Take care of yourself and do whatever makes you feel happy and gets you through the day, even if that means sitting in the rabbit enclosure xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Will you please stop beating yourself up? We all know that you are doing the best you can in less than optimum circustances. I know you don't believe that your Mum has dementia but most of us who have seen it in real life know that some of the signs are definitely there. Even the depression/down bit. My mother who went through life optimistically & didn't believe that depression was a "thing" got it eventually (she told my father to pull himself together). This was a man who hit the deck when a car backfired - such was undiagnosed PTSD at the time & just scratches the surface. He was a primary school head (retired in 1982 so a long time ago). The first 2 weeks of the summer holiday he was a write off. Thankfully he retired asap at 61. I have to say he was a far better grandparent than he was able to be as a parent. Note that I say than he was able to be not than he was. My sister retired as a deputy head before she was 50. It is not a profession for the fainthearted. And don't get me started on the employers response to an ofsted report!2

I am sorry that your mum is so negative. It is so hard to stay positive and it is mentally draining.
I don’t think your friend meant for this to happen and the rescue couldn’t help rabbits being dumped.Big hugs Buffy xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330

I honestly don't think she did either and all the rescue people I know are under ridiculous strain with people dumping animals. Mum's answer to everything tho is that it isn't my problem, but she is my friend so it is, I don't mean that as all holy as it sounds as I don't see it as a problem. I love designing their areas and finding things for them to do, sitting with them, feeding them, I nearly bought them "special" forage last night! I find it all really interesting
I have planned and re planned the area over and over to try and fit in all 8 small furries in a decent enough space. I have everything I need to do it. Apart from hardboard.....

We had a torrential rain shower too last night. I’d literally just walked in from the shop when it started. It didn’t cool things down over night though but there’s a lovely breeze today.Enjoy your time outside Buffy.January spends - £587.581
