  • Thank you all as ever for the hugs XXX I hope the dog forgives me. I do love them but the peeing in the kitchen is a bit much. Still I was horrible. Just so tired and then so angry so quickly.
I had a relatively easy day, am lucky that kids are kind when you are ill. My line manager saw me at lunch and basically said not to do parents evening since I could barely speak which was amazing. like really amazing. So I came home. Lucky eh.
I will go in tomorrow. I don't actually feel that bad, it is Friday you can always get through a Friday.
Also I have arranged to pick up a rabbit friend for the small bun. I am quietly excited, something good and positive. Plus when i sat out with big buns tonight I realised I could section off part of the enclosure and then extend the other part and I could move them outside. I don't think my lovely boy has long left really but has been eating so well and been really lively so he deserves the best. If he leaves us then the new bun can live with the big buns. I am so excited about building new housing. I have all the bits. Holy Jesus I so have all the bits!!! I can do all sorts of things :):)
so yes. things are better. so glad it is Friday tomorrow XXXXX

    Nevertheless she persisted.

  • Glad things are a bit better. x
  • Evening all.
Am watching The Pact. Very good.
Hair has been did and feels great. I have booked it for July. Her dye doesn't give me a headache unlike the box dyes. Also we have a new gardener. Am highly excited. He is expensive BUT he works for 4 hours at a time. Whereas the other guy would only stay about 20 -30 minutes . Break something. Deny it. And Leave. Oh and never do anything extra without it costing 450 pounds.... So I think we are on to a good thing. and I think the new guy isn't that expensive overall.

  • Finally I feel better today. I have period pains but my cold with its weird temperature thing every morning and vile snotty nose/cough (patient zero). I really want to tackle the conservatory today. And not do a roast dinner as it takes up too much time.

Glad you’re feeling better. Having a gardener will free up a lot of your time.

The garden is such a source of resentment for me and having someone come and do it is an enormous relief. The previous gardener started off well but over the years has become more expensive, never really wanting the extra work and so the garden never got fully straight. My folks bought the house mainly for the garden and when my dad was alive he would cut the grass and Mum weeded and my sister helped. Gardening was not my thing back then! Then after Dad died, they helped once a week but it is a massive garden and it was never enough(and everything was agonised over). Then once my bil became ill it fell to me and I found a gardener who I paid for . That worked for a bit but he became more useless over time (as he got more customers and did the bare minimum) but Mum didn't want to sack him (so she paid for him and I ignored the worsening state of the garden)  until I lost patience with the whole thing and sacked him myself a few weeks ago!
