I thought Line of Duty only had 6 episodes but it has seven. So am sitting here watching it, after some very nice scrambled egg on toast.
Don't get why they used James Nesbitt's picture. He surely can't be dead?
    Nevertheless she persisted.

My day has turned into look after mum day. I hoovered, did washing, mopped, tried to clean the bathroom, made lunch and tidied up. Need to empty the dishwasher and move the washing round. Mum is utterly miserable. I really did want to go outside but it turns out I am not doing that either. All the animals need cleaning out. She wanted to move the bacon (we are boiling it) to a smaller light and I have to say I did shout at her. The top of the oven is suss at best and it is in a massive saucepan. I could actually cry.

Oh and I totally did not understand the end of Line of Duty. very disappointing.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Well done for getting into the garden. Fresh air and ‘doing’ is a good combination. I agree positive positive positive is the way to go👏👏👏 It’s hard sometimes but positively is the best way to get through various stages of life.

Have you considered doing a food diary for your Mum?  She was doing so well & then so badly.  Can you pin down anything which may be making the difference?

The tests she had over Easter are partly to blame, plus the fact that she is of a generation who have spent much of their life on a diet so has never really enjoyed food (aside from fish and chips and a roast dinner)so won't try much new, I mean she is better than my Dad was! but doesn't like pasta, likes a stir fry but thinks it is terrible for a woman to eat a lot. It is hard to tell really. She did ok today and requested a cup of tea - most unusual these days!

Must be so difficult Buffy. My mum is very reluctant to try new things and she is of the same generation I am assuming.

My mil lived with my sil. They had so many arguments about food and sil got her knickers in a twist about how little mil was eating then mil got wound up and couldn’t eat. Viscous circle.........When mil came here I gave her a tiny bit and she’d eat it rather than being overfaced with plateful. I always asked if she wanted more and she usually said yes.....sometimes back for 3rds. It’s was easy for me to say and do this because I wasn’t there all the time, and not as emotionally involved. I think food is very emotive and some older people remind me of young children with what they’ll eat and not eat. Tough for you to deal with .

I would love to know how that works, mum won't either. The conversations I have had about it...........
