  • Met my friend for a walk, got my first Parking Ticket!! Thought it was free parking for Bank Holiday. IT was not.
I will write more little. Totally misjudged dinner and it seems to be ready (timer just pinged)
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Glad that you got a wee walk & that your mum is a wee bit better today.

  • Over it has been one of those days, argument with Mum, kinda of ok, but just brings home the stupidity of my situation. Also I have my period and am in agony with the cramps. Nothing unusual but I missed lunch as had a late breakfast and have only just now eaten dinner. Normally it is best to keep me fed but under period circumstances it is imperative, as it makes the pain much worse.
The walk was good, my friend had many plans that were struck down by covid, like most of us so we spent most of it discussing alternatives.
They were interesting discussions, she is good for me, always full of ideas and plans. I am doing some research....... XX

Just wanted to send you a load of love Buffy. I know how hard it is to put yourself first, or just stop and rest when you have loads to do... but you do deserve a break, so be kind to you. It must be impossible with your mum being the way she is at the moment.
  • thank you CCL xx I know I can't do this long term, almost want to go back to work!
I watched Bridgerton last night, thought it was brilliant, only slightly spoiled by one of the dogs bugging me to go to bed!
However waking up this morning was horrible as I was woken up by a FLY! on my FACE. DISGUSTING. It made me jump and panic, heart thumping etc and seems to have triggered a headache and maybe sinus pain...... Weird huh? I do feel quite rough which is a bit worrying in the current circumstances. I am cooking roast lamb today. Absolute last thing I feel like doing. My whole face hurts.
I am hoping to do dinner quite early, wrap Mum's presents, have dinner (Well, late lunch) do gifts, have a blissful fly free nap and then do a light tea with a birthday cake etc.
Best get on with hoovering upstairs first and cleaning out the guinea pigs. But Mum hasn't got up yet(pain seems quite bad today). hmmm. Maybe I shall start in the kitchen.......

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Headache got much worse, dinner was nightmare, turned out the "joint" (lump of fat!!!) I bought took FOUR hours to cook. It was horrible, the roast potatoes were amazing, but I felt too rough to finish them. Then we did presents and I went for a walk. Eaten some mini eggs but do feel rough. Need a dark room and a soothing audio book.
It was in summary an awful day!
BUT I did clean the kitchen. It looks LOVELY.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Nice to wake up to a clean kitchen. Head ache still present. I think it is the culmination of the tests, my birthday, Mum's birthday, Mother's Day, work, the house bunny, and not having anyone to talk to, the dogs are good tho, they know I don't feel well.
Today I shall continue (at a slower pace) with the house stuff. Might try and bond the guinea pigs...... Tomorrow Bun has his op so I will need to have a quiet set up for him and make sure I have blocked off some places I can't get him out of. The lump looks different this time. Not sure if that is good or bad. Vet tentatively thought it was a sign of him fighting back a bit, instead of the infection going in deeper it is coming out - It basically looks like a sizeable spot on his chin as opposed to a well hidden lump. I do promise that he is behaving normally, eating running around etc. Nearly killed me this morning running around.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
