thank you all so so much XX
I am so tired today. had to tell more friends tonight. just overwhelming to keep going over it all. And then one of my friends - who knew all about it, I told him about the plans with the ashes and he sent a load of thumbs up emoticons. And I was like really? and I know I should say oh I tired and oversensitive (and I am) . But !!!!!! that. I am tired and that is not the bloody response I want. just seemed so insensitive - in context of the whole horrible sodding situation which I had just explained. It is so weird cos when I first found out he made me go and out and have a drink and was brilliant. I know he doesn't know what to say even slightly and I do think some of it comes from my real life friends don't really have online friends(he is so anti social media) and don't think the friendships are real whereas I feel totally differently, my online friends have saved my life and my finances. my friendships here are totally real and I genuinely feel supported and loved by them. And I am devastated to lose someone I have known for almost 20 years. I can't even think about it properly especially after yesterday. I am grateful for my best mate she has been fantastic. And you lot. And her friends, my new friends.
but it feels all huge today, like I can't get out of the room.
Nevertheless she persisted.7 -

I'm sure he just meant "good decision". That is the problem with not actually doing talking, it is so easy to misunderstand a person's tone of voice when they are only typing. When it is in text speak it seems to be even worse. At least they are not avoiding you! Yes I have actually seen someone cross to the other side of the road to avoid meeting someone who was recently suffering a loss. You are coping remarkably well, it was never going to be easy as I am sure you must appreciate, but you are doing what you need to do for your friend. Hopefully that will provide some solace. She chose you for a reason! You are proving she was right!

A lot of people are anti social media but if you use it properly I think it’s a good thing. Like you I’ve had so much support from this forum. Then there’s FB which if used properly is a great way to keep in touch. I don’t think emoticons are appropriate in a situation like yours but he probably didn’t know what to say. You’re going through a very difficult time right now but I think you’re coping very well xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
