It was good to see my friend. Neither of us are particularly happy at the moment, we made a bet that in a month providing the world hasn't ended (!) I would have a new job and a boyfriend (!) and she would a new job and lodger. I think mine will be a bit of a tall order
No shops here have the basics. But it is ok, some enterprising scum are selling loo rolls for a pound each on market place. The human race is sickening me right now. Here it was women in their Canada goose coats laughing their heads off as they left with two trolleys piled high.
Saying that I do worry about our supply chains are so fragile.
so sleepy.Nevertheless she persisted.6 -
Today's plan is to do the washing, clean out the animals and take the rabbit to the vets. Please let it be open and let them be able to treat her. They don't open till 11. Last night before I left to go on my one and only night out in ages I noticed a lump on her face, an abscess
This is terrible for rabbits. When she had it before three years ago it was a very bad time. she was lucky to survive.
So yeah fantastic. Best get on with animals etc.Nevertheless she persisted.3 -

Hello,
the rabbit seems good so far. Op on Tuesday. Terrified they will shut the vets but trying desperately hard not to think about it too much else I will just sob and sob and sob. Which is ridiculous given everything else that is going on. I am actually getting quite frightened now, for mum, for my sister, for my brother in law. They talk about this herd immunity but as far as I can see that means people will die - in order for the virus to get to enough of us to develop the immunity. And that is awful.
Anyhow I have just checked the stocks in the kitchen. Not so bad. I hope all the panic buying is for nothing.
I have rich tea and nutella so am all good. XX

Worrying worrying timesxx

I hope they don't as well. I mean.
I should go to bed. Sheets in the dyer watching a fairly decent but very sad film with Mum.
Uncertainty is bothering me and one of my closest friends has been sending me stuff all day about how bad it will get.
I shall go to bed in a bit and listen to some fluffy audio book.

All the panic buying is a pain in the proverbial but give it a couple of days this week & it will be okay. Did you see the statement from Sainsbury's CEO? It could have been said by any supermarket (not knocking by the way it was a good one). It will get as bad as we let it get, please try not to worry. Just try to keep your distance, hard I know when you are teaching. It reminds me of the time my father, a teacher obviously, caught nits, he very quickly learned to keep his distance. Especially after my mother had words about giving them to his 2 daughters with very long hair!Try not to worry too much about your family, easy for me to say I know, but I know you will do all you possibly can to protect them. If you decide to have home deliveries of "stuff" just remember anyone can have touched the outside of things. No-one seems to be doing any warning about this. Hard surfaces seem to be able to retain germs for a week but soft, such as material, less than a day. If the delivery guy is a proper employee then fine, but if zero hours or self employed take care!As I am over 70 it looks like I could have no choice but to self isolate. That is going to be interesting but at least I know how to do stuff online & if I don't my son who lives with me (& doesn't leave the house anyway) will do. What worries me is the number of people I know who are still in their 50s & have ill health & don't even have the internet, who is going to wave a magic wand over them?4
