    Bet you did bubbs!

Not planned but had 0.5 syn jelly for pud, with some quark.

I've got another new recipe to try the end of this week and wondered whether anyone has tried using quark instead of creme fraische? It's only to be stirred through at the end of cooking so won't be heated. Anyone ever done this?

Morning all, weather not looking too bad, dry but very cold and windy so perfect to get another load of washing dry! Got most of a load dry yesterday, just had to put a couple of towels and a pair of jeans on the airer to finish off overnight. Love it when I don't need to use the tumble dryer. Line drying is definitely very :money:!

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash, scrambled eggs, beans - P; S; F
    L - chicken wrap - WW wrap; chicken; salad - HEB; P; S
D - HM sweet and sour prawns, rice - P; S; F. Followed by jelly & quark - might crumble a mini meringue on top too

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WW wrap
Syns - jelly 0.5; mini meringue 1 (if I have it)

It's WI tomorrow but I definitely don't feel any thinner or lighter so no holding out much hope for a loss but really hope it isn't a gain as that would mean I'm out of target again!

    Denise
  • Oh no Bubbs! You can be forgiven for that assumption I think. I don't like the taste of quark so use FF fromage frais to substitute creme fraiche and that's free.

    Today:
    B - None
D - Roast veg and chicken with couscous (as yesterday)
T - Pork chop with sweet potato mash and carrots (feels a bit random but trying to use what I have in the fridge!)
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Almonds
    Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), hot chocolate (2) = 6

Tomorrow is my work's away day and I know there'll be pastries in the morning and a canteen lunch - hopefully this is better than a buffet lunch of various sandwiches and quiches, and I can get some sort of jacket potato or salad box. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
