We have a roast nearly every week as well bubbs. I like a roast because there are always leftovers to make at least another meal and often another couple.
We don't often have puddings but as I've had so few syns this week decided to push the boat out today and use some of them and I'm still below syns, even with having a small glass of wine this evening (finishing on 14.5 today!).
If we do has a pudding it's usually just fruit and jelly with either quark or yoghurt - I usually have quark, DH usually has yoghurt. I've done Eton mess occasionally too.
A lot depends on how many syns I've got available which is always much lower when we've been drinking wine rather than spirits!

Morning all!
No one around this morning. Had a few glasses of wine last night so went a bit over on syns but had plenty to spare so no problem.
Today's plan:
B - beans and tomatoes on toast - HEB; S; F
L - pea and ham soup - P; S; F (carrot and lentil soup - S; P; now being frozen for another day)
D - LO gammon, chips & beans - P; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned

First weigh in today, and I lost 2lb.
Cant say I am over the moon with it, as have been good all week, but I had such a bad week eating wise, the week before I joined, I am wondering if it has caught up with me, if that makes sense?!!
The last time i did SW I lost 5.5lbs in the first week, so this was a bit of a disappointment.
Anyway am keeping going with it, and trying to up my water intake.0 -
Thanks for reporting back on the mustard cabbage Denise, won't bother copying the recipe then!
Well done on your loss Mrs B - 2lbs is a good loss!
My menu today:
B - Banana
D - WW wrap with roast chicken pieces and veg (aubergine, courgette, carrots, cherry tomatoes, onion and mushrooms
T - 2CC ham and pineapple pasta bake, with crispy kale on the side
HEA - Milk, cheese on pasta bake (will double check quantities and whether I need to syn any)
HEB - WW wrap
Syns - Sugar in coffee (3), possibly cheese(?), hot chocolate (2) = 5-8?
Not sure about the roast veg in a wrap, they are a bit wet so it was a bit messy, might do some quinoa/couscous to use up the rest of the batch.
Have a great start to the week everyone!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Well done on your loss MrsButler. :T
You could be right about why you didn't get the usual first week big loss or it might be because you'd already been losing weight beforehand so it wasn't such a major change as it is for some people:). Do post your menus if you have time just in case there's something creeping in.
I make full use of leftovers from the roast too denise. I get at least one hot lunch for me out of them and DH has sandwiches. Very mse but I really enjoy them too.:)
Tonight's sausage casserole recipe is a bit low on Speed so I'll add in courgettes, a bit of kale and some BNS to the mushrooms and onions. My lunch was almost 50% Speed so I'm not that worried.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, 2 fried eggs (P)
L: cold chicken (P), fried potatoes (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)sausage casserole (F,S) with tagliatelle (F)
Syns: HP sauce 1, sausage 10 -
That's a brilliant loss Mrs B. I'd be over the moon with that! I only lose 0.5 or 1lb, even on the way to target. My best loss on the way to target was 1.5lb. Please don't be disappointed with a 2lb loss. SW say you should only lose 1-2lb a week so you've actually lost the amount SW expect you to be losing.
My day's a bit short on Speed today but today seems to be all peas & beans!
Really pleased with the gammon joint we had this weekend. We had it hot yesterday, cold today, some in the pea and ham soup and there's enough for at least 2 sandwiches each. It was only a small joint (1.2 Kg I think) from Aldi. Will definitely be getting more to keep in the freezer but will probably wait until after my holiday as I haven't put gammon on next month's plan (which I did yesterday afternoon when I had nothing better to do!).

It just occurred to me that for some people it's a huge change from the way they were eating before but you were already losing weight. Try not to be disappointed, it's still a good loss.:Dmrs.butler wrote: »Today:

Not sure how much Speed is in your stew but I'm assuming it's Speed you need to shop for.0 -
