Thought I'd just report back about the mustard beef with mushrooms from the Slimmingeats website. It was really tasty but could have done with more mustard in it - we both added some more at the table but would add an extra tablespoon when cooking it when I make it again. Yes I will be making it again!

Have enough for another meal for both of us to go into the freezer so won't need to make it again too soon.

Hi, sorry I haven't had time to read back but hope all is well and the lbs are dropping off :) I've had a really stressfull first week back at work so I've been comfort eating but not in the same capacity as I would have before, anyway weigh in tonight and - 1lb for me, wasn't expecting that but I'm delighted by it.

Glad you had a good loss Denise. That's a big one at 1.5lb for you isn't it?

Well done on your loss majorca. It's so hard when we are stressed isn't it?

Arkers, it sounds like you've certainly got the measure of yourself and how you operate. Really hoping 2020 is a positive year for you. Think quite a few of us have had our own annus horribilis in 2019. Things have got to be better, right?

Have gone back to clubbercise tonight, and coped far better than I thought I would. Bet I'll feel a bit achy tomorrow though. That's an hour of jumping around to help with this week's efforts.

    Today's plan:
    B - banana, 0% yogurt (1)
    snack - fruit quark (0.5)
L - porridge HEB, sliced apple, sugar (1), milk from HEA/water
Afternoon snack - snowball melon chunks, SF jelly with nectarine & satsuma, tbsp cream (3)
Snack - slices of wafer thin turkey breast
D - pasta in tomato sauce, and added spinach, mushrooms, onions, cheese HEA2. Allowing (4 for the sauce as it was Tesco chunky veg - about 1/3 of the jar)
    HEA1 in drinks/porridge
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Well done on your losses majorica and GTQ.

Yes, 1.5lb is a big loss for me; it's usually 0.5lb with the occasional lb. Really didn't think I'd lost anything but was hoping to lose the odd half to put me back in target.

Funnily enough I picked up a snowball melon today. First one this year but think it probably needs a few days to ripen before I cut it - can't stand unripe melon. Will make a change from the watermelon we had last week.

Hi Beanie - A snowball melon is a much paler skinned melon with a much sweeter taste than any of the other melons. They tend to be bigger than the other melons too, apart from watermelon which I know can be huge although you don't see the very big ones often here but you certainly do in hotter countries like Goa and Gambia! They're only available for a couple of months of the year not like the others which seem to be around most of the year.
