I am struggling big time & only my first week.
Stress & I do not go well together.

Sorry to hear that beanie. It can be hard, especially after a break. Keep plodding.:A

The grain mustard is nice denise but I don't have any in at the moment, only English and powder, so I'm reluctant to buy more for a recipe.

I liked the story about the watermelons. They sell huge ones in Turkey too and I've been fascinated seeing locals burying them in the sand to keep them cool at the beach. I will eat watermelon but I find it tasteless compared with galia and charentais which are my favourites. I must give the snowballs a try.

Beetroot was in stock in Aldi so I stocked up. :D Also bought in some Frylight ( did a stocktake and was don to my last pack:eek:) and some Puffed Wheat as I fancied a change from Weetabix. :)

  • Maman/ Denise, I need another 3.5lbs to get back in range. 2-3 weeks of paying should do it. It’s amazing how parting with cash sharpens the resolve LOL.

Absolutely. That was why I was determined to get back into range this week so I didn't have to pay.

Hoping to now lose another 5lb by end of February as I go on holiday early March.

I've finally had a call about my operation after leaving 6 messages over the last few weeks (from just after my holiday in December). I decided to phone PALS (Patient Liaison) at the hospital yesterday afternoon - looks like it worked!

I have my pre-op on 24th Jan and operation on 20 February. Waited since mid September after being told no more than 12 weeks! Will be glad when it's over.

Thank you! Definitely good news at last.

I'm just glad it's a couple of weeks before I go on holiday so should be OK for my holiday - will just mean a change of tablets which my GP will be glad about. When I saw him this week to get some more tablets he asked me how much longer I was going to need them! I know why - it's because they cost £300 per month! At least the ones I'll need to take after the op will be much cheaper, LOL!

Hi tessie bear - it's 40g for HEB of Puffed Wheat or 7 syns. You get loads. A lot of people at my group take them in a bag when they go to the cinema and eat them like popcorn!

Thanks for that Denise . I just looked it up because I was just assuming it was still a HEB. It's very bland but I like it and it can always be perked up with some fruit. :)

Good news that you've got a date at last. :T Where are you going on holiday? :)
  • Hope was OK to make the first week a few days longer to move end to Saturday. Found the aldi skinny sausages tough, won't bother again.
Updated chart hopefully I have not missed anyone.
