I'm glad it was only a minor accident Honey but still a shock I'm sure.

Procrastinator we're not just here for the good days, I think support is often needed more on those bad days. As FrugalLina said we may not be able to help but we can listen and offer a shoulder :)

Quiet day in to day with some cooking this morning and just pottering around the house. I made both Glamorgan sausages and cauliflower 'tots' from the new PON book to be honest I'm not sure about using the cauliflower recipe again it was a lot of fuss for some potato and cauliflower croquettes  making cauliflower rice, cooking and then squeezing the water out. I halved both recipes and froze LOs. Whilst the oven was on I made a rice and vegetable stuffing and stuffed portobello mushrooms, beef tomatoes and a yellow pepper which will do for the next few lunches

    B -
L - Glamorgan sausages, cauliflower tots and French beans
D - LO chicken and vegetables from yesterday
    S - 2 chocolate biscuits

  • Thank you for your support FrugalLina and Brambling.

Reading my food intake made me realise it was rubbish so have made a small salad of little gem lettuce, tomato, cucumber, olives, LO red cabbage slaw from yesterday, caramalised onion chutney, 2 teaspoons mayo, a little grated chedar. Very colourful, crunchy and super tasty.
    2 glasses of water.

    Morning everyone.

My weekend started with Parkrun. We then spent the weekend prepping our bedroom for plastering this week and doing much needed other jobs.

Food wasn't particularly healthy but I'm trying not to restrict myself too much as I'm of the all or nothing mindset. Hopefully allowing myself some treats will ultimate lead me to a more balanced diet.

Glad you’re ok, Honey. Hope today is better for you, procrastinator. Look after yourself and be kind to yourself :)
I’m finding - probably because because I’ve been on so many of them over the years! - that sticking to a particular diet plan doesn’t work for me, so I think I’ve just got to try and be mindful and not eat junk between meals, and hope that shifts the pounds!
Have a good day all :)

    Happy Monday all.

Honey I'm glad it was only a minor accident and I hope you're all okay.

Procrastinator I hope today's an improvement and I agree that the LM pies are a bit iffy. The pastry's better than Quorn's but, seeing as I think that eating the box would be preferable, that's not really saying much.

Bfh I'm like you, I find that I struggle to stick to a particular plan so I'm just going to try to eat healthily, cut out snacks and see how I go.

I weighed myself this morning (ouch!!) so my first weigh in will be next Monday. I'm now the heaviest I've been in a very long time (I lost 5 stone in 2012 and have put back on 3.5 of it...) so really need to knuckle down and be sensible.

I haven't logged food on previous challenges (and look how wwell the last one went for me :rotfl:) but will try for this one in the hope that it'll keep me accountable and will be a handy guide for seeing what does/doesn't work

B - I was still too full up from yesterday's rubbish
L - Salad and quorn wrap
D - Home made veg curry and rice

I'm going to attempt Couch to 5K again as well so will be off for my first shuffle round tonight. Tomorrow may hurt...

    Best of luck everyone.

    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

It's the start of another week and I am ready to really get stuck in to this healthy eating lark. I made my husband and myself a sausage and egg muffin and a bacon and egg bagel for breakfast. One of them would have been sufficient actually but I am still not hungry so maybe having a big breakfast will help me stick to the diet.

We had a roast beef dinner yesterday and we still have lots of beef left over so today for dinner I will make a chilli to have with a jacket potato. I will cook the whole bag of potatoes and freeze what we don't use as it will come in handy for future lunches.

So today my meals are likely to be:

b - low fat sausage and egg muffin, bacon and egg bagel thin, mug of tea
l - not hungry yet but probably a crustless quiche and salad
d - beef chilli and jacket potato with a small sprinkle of grated cheese
s - banana, apple, greek yoghurt

Hope you all have a great day and make good choices xx

    Hope you’re feeling better Toonie.
I’ve ended up having a bad day today unfortunately :(
Don’t know where it came from but I fell into a gloomy, lethargic state of mind and have done very little and eaten too much rubbish.
Just want to get the day over and start again tomorrow.
    January blues maybe!
I’ve work tomorrow so that’ll keep me away from the food cupboards at least.
