Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 1

Afternoon everyone.
Yesterday was a positive day with plenty of fruit, soup for lunch and a nice omelette with salad for tea. I did have a couple of little chocolate treats with a cuppa in the evening.
Today I've had fruit and soup so far. Had a lovey walk into town a lunchtime. Tea will be aubergine and courgette lasagna from the freezer.
The weekend will start with Parkrun tomorrow, hopefully my legs won't be feeling too tired after Wednesday's efforts, then lots of prep work as we're having our bedroom skimmed next week. We've a voucher left for fish and chips so might well be treating ourselves to that tomorrow night.
Hope you all have a fab weekend.
Edited as I forgot to mention the bowl of cornflakes I had when I got home yesterday as I was starving!0 -
I'm delighted to be a loser, balabooberlies ! We are all going to be the best losers ever this year!31.5/1000

Great to see so many of you back on it, I’m still off of work until Monday so shall start then.
Weigh day will normally be on Friday, so first weigh in on 10th Jan. I will weigh myself in the morning to get a starting point, but I’m certain I have put a few pounds on over Christmas.Well Behaved women seldom make history

I also would like to be part of the losers club please (big improvement on the naughty step club I was in last year:D)
Not so bad today, I am still not on it properly as I'm waiting til I'm back to work on Monday.
B toasting muffin
L beef roll and pkt of crisp
D was lo roast beef risotto, lots of veg in it and a salad.
Will probably have a mince pie later.
Walked round to sainsbob earlier to meet my parents and had a coffee whilst there.
Tomorrow dd wants to go to the Tate, not my sort of art I'm afraid but will be a good walk I guess.
Hope you are feeling better Cranky, my cats are a bit fickle with human food, although the black cat has found a love of spaghetti and slurps a strand quiet expertly.:rotfl:'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

I kept the naughty step warm a few times as well Sirens
enjoy the day with your DD tomorrow
My manager brought in a Tunis cake for his birthday today, luckily it's not a favourite of mine I remember it from the 70s as being dry with like a cooking chocolate topping, it has slightly improved but I got away with just a tiny taste to be polite
I planned last night to knit to avoid fridge picking when watching TV, two problems one it was subtitles so I can't multitask when knitting I'm not that good at it and secondly the cat likes to lay across my wool  he doesn't play with it he just kidnaps it :rotfl: I was good and only succumbed to an apple
B - porridge and fruit
L - chicken and veg soup
D - sirloin steak, airfried chips, asparagus, runner beans and tenderstem broccoli
S - grapes, nectarine, very tiny piece of Tunis cakeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Thanks SIRENS and Brambling. I'm a bit wheezy but going to work helped. I stuck my head in the big dishwasher there and breathed in a few times - it's like a giant bowl of boiling water and the steam is good for helping to breathe.
The cat we have is a posh cat (a Korat) with the digestive sytem of a sewer rat. She loves doner kebab meat and all other meat cooked or raw. Her younger half sister who died last year wouldn't touch cooked human food but did like raw chicken or raw beef.
I have two crochet projects and one knitting project on the go. You'd think that would keep me busy enough wouldn't you? I haven't done very well today. I had to have lunch early because it's a work day then a combination of coming home hungry plus still feeling out of sorts hasn't really helped.
The accident prone person in my life is also much better. I can't say much as it was a strange accident and is probably easily identifiable if I say what the remedial action after surgery is. What I can say is that he's in a lot less pain and is also much more cheerful, which is good to see.
Take care all of you0 -

My cats are very unpredictable when it comes to food. If they have the same food too long they are offended. If I change their food, they are offended. sometimes they like raw meat, but mostly they are offended by it.
I suspect they have got the RSPCA on speed dial to complain about my attempts to poison them.
I currently have a microwave that stinks of sprats, and it persists despite a good scrub and heating lemon water in it, and all for nothing because the sprats remain untouched. Last time they had them they were fighting over them!0 -
Hello
I would like to join please. I lost a couple of stone in the last two years, most of it the first year and last year keeping it off and getting a bit more fit. This year I would like to lose at least 14lb. Realistically my weight loss is slow so this quarter I will aim for 6lb.
Today's food very bad so going forward as I will be posting here will make a better effort.
Lunch Egg salad - 1 egg, half a little gem lettuce and 1 spring onion mixed with mayo.
Dinner...nothing...went shopping and bought a bag of cheese whatsit type things so then no appetite when home.
This eve have nibbled on Brazil and walnuts. Two coffees with cream. One cheap style baileys.last of my xmas treats. Oh and 1 choc off the tree. Don't think there are any more tree coming down tomorrow so find out.
Fruit 1 apple and 1 orange.
Starting weight 153 LBs.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.

Sarah I have added 7kgs for your first quarter is that ok?
JackieO you're right eating in front of the TV can be fatal as we aren't given our brain time to process we're full as it's concentrating on other things, I have read we should wait 20 mins for that reason. Unfortunately like so many people who live a lone I tend to sit infront of the TV to eat. Did you want me to add you to the chart for this quarter ?
Dumpling I'm assuming custard creams are less harmful for you than chocolate biscuits or is that just wishful thinking? You're going to have to train your children to hide the biscuit tin from you. Thanks for the reminder of the PON chicken and leeks in blue cheese sauce I had forgotten about that one and do enjoy it.
Honey are you eating enough or are you fasting? There didn't seem a lot of food on your list for yesterday or maybe I'm just greedy
PatentGirl this is also my first day back in the office since the 20th although I have worked from home a couple of days, unfortunately there are both chocolate and biscuits in there which i'm managing to avoid, it's the only time I'm thankful for 6 hour meetings
Nothing to wear on holiday is always a good incentive to lose weight Izadora, I've been known on more than one occasion to panic shop the week before which is not very :money:
Work is the usual manic beginning of the month stuff and a 2 hour meeting turned into a 6 hour oneluckily I have LOs from yesterday for dinner so that should avoid the urge to pick at rubbish rather than than cooking a healthy meal later. I seem to have 2 panettones hiding under the stairs which can't come to work as one was part of the Christmas present from the manager. I'm meeting a friend at the beginning of February who will take one off my hands if i can avoid eating them in the mean time I'll just have to think what to do with the other, I don't think panettone bread and butter pudding should be part of my weight loss plan :rotfl:
B - Porridge, banana and berries
L - chicken and veg soup
D - LO Nasi Goreng with addition broccoli
S - Nothing so far but will probably be some fruit this evening
Yes I’m happy with that :-):money::rotfl::T0 -
Todays food..

Two ham and pickled onion wholemeal butties.
Four oranges. :cool:0
