yesterday I had some pate and crusty bread at lunchtime then nothing else all day; I felt a bit sick and bloated and thought it might be a novel idea to not eat if I wasn’t hungry
Today though, I’ve had ...
B - porridge
L -went for a ride out and a browse around some shops with OH and stopped for lunch - emmental and mushroom toastie and skinny cappuccino from c*sta
D - Thai prawn fish cakes with salad and a small jacket potato
S - unfortunately succumbed to a couple of biscuits with my evening cuppa, then a few of the Xmas chocs0 -

Good morning all,
Thanks Brambling but it's not just me - it's his family too so a total team effort.
Last night I decided to make rice pudding in the slow cooker as a breakfast item. I like porridge (I like it a lot, my gran and mum were Scottish) but it doesn't fill me up - well not in the quantity allowed by SW anyway. Rice is free, a litre of unsweetened almond milk is a daily allowance and then there's sweetener so I can have rice pudding first thing and save my carb allowance for lunch.
I used 100g of rice, 700ml of milk, some sukrin gold sweetener and I was quite generous with the nutmeg. It's turned out really well and I'd make it again. This morning I microwaved a portion then added in a couple of spoonfuls of vanilla Muller lite (I don't like the Muller stuff by the tub as it's too sweet) for a bit of extra flavouring and then put some blueberries on top. I do like a warm breakfast in the winter.
Take care all of you0 -
Hello everyone! Sorry, I've only just seen this thread.
Is it too late to join in? If not, could you put me down for 21lbs please? I'll weigh in on Fridays 😊0 -
Hello folks,
Im enjoying the challenge so hope that will continue.
Im pootling around trying to get as much activity in as possible.
keep positive xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Afternoon all
The walking challenge is definitely proving tough but I’m determined to get my 500,000 steps in this month. I’m still “ahead” but I like to keep myself ahead for days where I may do slightly less.
B - weetabix (I use whole milk as it’s easier than buying different milk) with an apple
L - spag Bol with whole wheat pasta and my own sauce. I add onions, grated carrot and tomatoes in the sauce for added veg and bulk it out. I had a couple of small Christmas cookies too and a Diet Coke
D - lentil and veg soup with a small piece of seeded baguette
E - lots of walking as per my challenge:money::rotfl::T0 -

Do you use pudding rice Cranky, I might try this as I do find the porridge allowance a bit stingy as well. Do you syn the sweetener?'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hello! Brambling
I hope there's still room for a wee one ( or not so wee..!!) to join and I'm not too late!
Thank you x0 -

Yes to the pudding rice - it is just rice after all. The sweetener is 0.5 syns per tbsp so half a syn per portion. I count it if I'm in the mood. I've always lost without counting sweetener so far....0
