As long as they're hefty ones...
And thanks Cranky, despite the fact I've been typing it for the past couple of days I didn't manage to put it together when it was listed as a single abbreviation.
Well done to Sarah, bfh, Molly and s_glover for the losses :T:T
It's a great way to start and hopefully it'll spur you on to keep going.
Blue Doggy Enjoy the last of your leftovers. I had to laugh at the room of doom, I'm seriously considering finding a cupboard I can lock and putting all of our leftovers in there.
Procrastinator I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and that you managed to get your mum outside. Dementia is a cruel disease and it can't be easy for you, especially when the care home don't seem to be listening to very valid concerns. I hope you had a good night with your daughter.
Brambling How lovely to see peacocks just milling about, the only wildlife we get round here are foxes...
I have been trying to avoid going near any of the leftover nuts as they're all way too moreish and it's very easy to finish a pack without noticing. I then got home last night to find that IzHe had opened the roasted cashews and left them on the table...
Frugalina I hope things calm down a bit for you now and well done for weighing in. I was very tempted never to get on scales again after Christmas but at least now I know what I'm dealing with.
Frith With everything you've got going on at the moment I'm not surprised you don't want to add dieting to the list. Best of luck for the new job and starting in earnest on Monday.
Yesterday's food was pretty much as listed, just with the addition of a few accidental cashew nuts. I did pretty well at only having a few, rather than the normal half a packet, but I really need to stop any kind of snacking if I can help it.
Today, I have no idea. I'm working from home and really struggling not to eat rubbish so have decided that drinking lots of coffee is a good substitute for breakfast. Not the most sensible idea but there's not really much in the way of proper food in the house at the moment as it's mostly Christmas/New Year leftovers. It's my weekly dinner for my parents tonight so will do a mini roast, with some kind of Quorn and squished new potatoes rather than roast.
B - Coffee. Lots of coffee...
L - ? I need to go shopping so may pick up a salad or something like that
D - mini roast
S - hopefully none
Best of luck all xx0 -
Afternoon all
Super pleased to see others reporting losses too
B - weetabix with a small amount of sugar and an apple
L - left over mixed bean veggie chilli, sweet potato fries, small chocolate bar and a can of Diet Coke
D - scrambled eggs and beans, yogurt after
E - lots of walking to carry on my challenge. I hit target yesterday but I want to be over today just to cover any lower walk days:money::rotfl::T0 -
Afternoon all,
One teenage DS off school yesterday and today with a tummy bug ,this afternoon he's started to feel better though!
B Fruit and fibre, left over pasta from last nights tea! peach yoghurt. D, going to be fishcakes, and the last of the mince pies!
Driving home I got to see the peacocks which reside a couple of minutes from me there were six, four blue and two white taking their time crossing the road, beautiful but with no road sense.
This made me laugh Brambling,we stay 'out in the sticks' the only things that cross our roads are pheasants and deer, the deer are a wee bit more weary unless they are spooked but the pheasants haven't a clue about the Green cross code...!!!
I'm glad you were able to support your mum outside for a wee walk. Procrastinator, it probably did you both some good. Its a shame that the care home aren't listening to you and your concerns regarding seating at mealtimes.0 -
Evening All
Well back at work since Monday and it's been real hectic, probably a good thing as it's made the time speed along and pushed my steps up as I've been on my feet for 3 days, must say the first day my back was killing me, doesn't take long to get out of the habit of working!
Happy to report a loss of -3lb not sure how but I'm delighted with that.
I think this year it's been easier for me to get back to normal as with dh watching what he eats to keep his blood pressure lower, we have not had half as much 'naughty' foods as we usually have at Christmas.
B porridge and berries
L some sort of rice and Chinese chicken and veg (foraged from the depths of the freezer) apple and banana
D lo chicken tikka and rice (again) might have a couple of biscuits later with my tea.
Luckily I have a fair few meals in the freezer to have for lunch at work for the next couple of weeks but I shall be trying the rice pudding tomorrow Cranky I have bought some almond milk to try as I do not drink cow milk, I usually only use my dairy allowance on cheese
Jackrabbit hope your ds is feeling much better x

-1lb might have been a bit more than that another day in the week :rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Good evening everyone
Congratulations to Sirens, Bfh, Molly, s_glover, Shortbird and Sarah on making such a good start. :j:j:j:j:j:j Well done, trailblazers!
I hope everyone has had as good a day as possible.
Izadora the R of D hasn’t got a lock, but the Cupboard of Delights is behind the door, which sticks on the carpetso is nearly as good! I hope the dinner with your parents went well.
FrugalLina I hope things are settling down. Based on last quarter, you should very soon lose the Christmas weight.
Eaten today:
B: steamed cod and fennel
L: a ood lamb hotpot ready meal (which had been lurking at the back of the cupboard) with extra broccoli, Christmas crumble and custard
D an ood venison pie (freezer lurker!) with mixed veg, Christmas crumble and custard (used up the crumble, and the custard powder, and most of a storage jar of sugar :T)
S: three chocolate caramels, 2 cookies, 4 sesame seed biscuits
If I don’t see another choccy or sugary wotsit again, I’ll be happy. The best prep for getting back to the diet :rotfl:.
Best wishes to all.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

And thanks Cranky, despite the fact I've been typing it for the past couple of days I didn't manage to put it together when it was listed as a single abbreviation.
You and me both Izadoraperhaps if it had been written vertically i may have got it
Well done everyone lots of smiles on the chart :T:T. And Frith don't worry we're here whenever you're ready to start
I'm happy as my weigh in was -2.5 lbs :j.
The peacocks live in what was the lodge of a big house, I can hear them when my windows are open but the deer grid in front of the gate doesn't keep them in the garden and they like to wander across the road into the field oppositeone morning there were a lot of cars waiting as a family of white ones wandered back and forth, it's always fun to see other drivers faces if they don't know they're there :rotfl: I live on the edge of a small town a couple of miles walk from the centre so we get deer, foxes and selection of birds, I can hear the owl at night sometimes, unfortunately I only see the badgers at he side of the road. Although I will say the albino squirrel is a little creepy if it looks at you
I worked from home again today and managed to avoid temptations, my cupboard under the stairs contains all those things which make you gain weight just by looking at them  including the emergency gin
B - banana
L - HM chicken soup
D - spicy bean burger, HM chips, peas and sweetcorn
S - grapes, fibre one fibre barLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Jackrabbit I hope your son's feeling better today.
Sirens Well done on the loss, it doesn't matter how it happened it's a really good way to start.
Short bird Well done on the loss, even if it was lower another day it's still going in the right direction overall.
Blue Doggy Well done on the using up and putting yourself off chocolate. I don't think that's something I could ever manage to do
Procrastinator I'm glad you enjoyed your day out and well done for all the walking/stairs
Patentgirl Well done on the loss, especially when it's not been a full week
Brambling Well done on the loss, that's a very good start. I've never seen an albino squirrel but I can imagine they must look quite odd.
I like the fact that you've got emergency gin stashed under the stairs. We built a bar in our summer house so, unfortunately, I have a ridiculous amount of booze at the bottom of the garden
Yesterday didn't go exactly to plan (additional wine with dinner) but the fact that I'd been for my C25K shuffle meant that MFP had me slightly under my daily allowance so I'm happy with that and it was a good evening.
Today's plan is:
B - fruit, yoghurt & bran flakes
L - Sweet chili Philadelphia and salad wrap
D - Quorn spag bol, probably with loads of extra veg that needs using up thrown into it.
Best of luck all xx0
