    Good afternoon all

Hope we are all doing well

B - weetabix with a small amount of sugar and an apple

L - sweet potato mash (I used a small amount of garlic allioli which made it taste amazing) and mince beef cottage pie mix. I basically made a cottage pie deconstructed as I didn’t have time to oven cook it so I warmed up the mince from yesterday and made the mash. The mince had gravy, seasoning, onion, peas and grated carrot in it. I had it with a Diet Coke and 5 small celebrations chocolates

D - seeded bread sandwich with soft cheese and a yogurt

E - still doing my walking. I was over yesterday which is good and I’m hoping to be today

You may notice I eat chocolate a lot. I love my chocolate and I eat it regularly. I’ve found if I have a small amount daily, or nearly every day it stops me blowing out and eating my own body weight in it :-)

TWO AND A HALF POUNDS OFF

I am not sure how I managed to lose two and a half pounds this week, if I had known I was doing so well I might not have succumbed to the chelsea bun and then another chelsea bun last night. :D

Well done everyone who has lost so far. :)

Jackrabbit I hope your son's feeling better today.

Sirens Well done on the loss, it doesn't matter how it happened it's a really good way to start.

Short bird Well done on the loss, even if it was lower another day it's still going in the right direction overall.

Blue Doggy Well done on the using up and putting yourself off chocolate. I don't think that's something I could ever manage to do :D

Procrastinator I'm glad you enjoyed your day out and well done for all the walking/stairs

Patentgirl Well done on the loss, especially when it's not been a full week

Brambling Well done on the loss, that's a very good start. I've never seen an albino squirrel but I can imagine they must look quite odd.
I like the fact that you've got emergency gin stashed under the stairs. We built a bar in our summer house so, unfortunately, I have a ridiculous amount of booze at the bottom of the garden :o

Yesterday didn't go exactly to plan (additional wine with dinner) but the fact that I'd been for my C25K shuffle meant that MFP had me slightly under my daily allowance so I'm happy with that and it was a good evening.

    Today's plan is:

    B - fruit, yoghurt & bran flakes
L - Sweet chili Philadelphia and salad wrap
D - Quorn spag bol, probably with loads of extra veg that needs using up thrown into it.

    Best of luck all xx

We see albino squirrels quite often, considering how rare they are supposed to be. I think there must be a whole family of them.

It reminds me of a friend of mine when we were teens. She used to eat nothing but instant mash and garlic, and used her grant on more important things like shoes and concert tickets. :D

I am very impressed by those who can eat a little of something. With me, it is all or nothing. :o I have noticed that the people who keep the weight off are likely to be the "moderate" ones so it is definitely a skill worth learning.

    Hi everyone,

Just had a delicious meal cooked by my husband from the 2nd PON book. It was the Keema Pie and I was so proud of him because he actually followed the recipe without adding extras to it :D.

Today has been a good day with my eating but I am on the lurk now for something naughty! I will stay on the internet until the feeling passes as I really want a loss on Monday. I am another one who can't just have a little bit of something....I need to scoff the whole block of chocolate or bag of crisps :o:o.

    Hello All
Well done on all the lovely losses, I do not have emergency gin, I do have emergency chocolate, however I find 'emergencies' come up at least once a day in my house

I made my rice pudding in my instant pot Crankyi used almond milk, and very nice it is too, I have 4 portions so I can either have 2 a day and no cheese or one and some cheese still, think I shall be making it regularly, thanks for the suggestion.

B baked oats with tbsp of mincemeat
D jacket pot and cottage cheese.
D veggie fried rice with a fried egg

Out to the pictures with dh to finally see the new Star Wars film tomorrow (was waiting for the kids to be back at school as they are not really fans);)

    Good evening everyone :)

patentgirl, Brambling, honeythewitch well done on super weight loss! :j:j:j Keep up the good work!

Izadora, honeythewitch :rotfl: I wouldn’t take bets on how long the “couldn’t look at chocolate” will last, though I’ll run with it while it’s on.

Izadora I worked out “C25K”, but what is “MFP” please?

Dumpling well done your husband for cooking you a lovely meal, and well done you for keeping on the good path today. Do you think, when you are starting to lurk for naughty food, you might be thirsty? I find when I prowl the kitchen in the evening if I can remember to drink a glass of water the feeling passes off. I have to put post it notes on the likely snacks to remind me.

    So, today’s food:
B: porridge made with water and topped with the last of the cherry compôte
L: cold ham and duck with salad of beetroot, mustard & cress, and chopped apple
D: (beef) steak with celery and tomatoes cooked together.
    S: none

Best wishes to everyone for a good day tomorrow.

Well done Honey a great start :T

Another day working from home so probably not a good idea to open the panettone which had been keeping the gin company under the stairs  I had a slice for breakfast and then one with morning tea and then one with afternoon tea :o. All three slices with butter  luckily I'm back at work tomorrow so away from it. In case you hadn't guessed I too have problems just having a little bit and putting the rest away :wall:

Thanks for the Keema recommendation Dumpling :)

    B - panettone
    L - HM chicken soup
D - devilled kidneys and mushrooms , soba noodles, wilted spinach and water cress
    S panettone and panettone

  • Well done all who have lost and are coping with the weight loss challenge and commiserations to those who are struggling. :)

I have a lurgy and am finding it difficult to stay on track as food is such a comfort. Luckily no really damaging food in the house (despite a whole entire cupboard dedicated to the oh so wonderful God of Gin, although I am more a collector than a sampler). :o

I have been peering into the depths of the freezer in the vain hope of finding some long-forgotten treat, but alas, it is mostly veggie burgers of some description or another.

Good luck everyone, this is a particularly difficult time of year! :T:T

    Good evening all,

The age of miracles is upon us - I've lost 1.5 lbs.

I'm starting to feel much better so I'm thinking that I'd like to get back to running three times a week. I'll be following in your footsteps Izadora. It'll only be twice next week though because I like to go Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I'm giving blood Monday morning.

Glad you liked the rice pudding SIRENS.

Dumpling try holding something between your teeth. I use my cable needle (knitting implement for those who don't) but I guess a pen or paintbrush would do. Chewing can be a form of calming yourself.

Take care all of you :)
