Morning All
Frith With that long a journey to get to Sainsbury's I can see why plodding on rather than trying to shop is a good plan, I found the empty shelves an annoying waste of time and it's only a 5 minute walk away. Hopefully your allotment will keep you going for a little while.
Brambling Fortunately I did have the sense to cut the cake into slices before putting it in the freezer, it's nice to know there's something in there to look forward to. Well done for being determined to learn to drive before 40, I had planned to do the same but I'll be 43 this year and haven't even been behind a wheel since I was 18I'm glad you got your car sorted and a bonus of managing to pick up bread and milk while you were out
Sirens Good luck getting your MOT and it's nice to know that I'm not alone with not liking the idea of driving. I think where I live/work is a big part of my reluctance to learn. I live a 5 minute walk from our high street and work in London so, the vast majority of the time, there's really no need for me to drive.
Blue Doggy Good luck with trying to eke out your supplies and reduce shopping trips. Your menu yesterday looked lovely so hopefully you can carry on like that for a while before resorting to some interesting combinations
Cranky I'm glad the migraine's got better and enjoy your run today. Even though I know that I'm allowed out to exercise I seem to have decided that I'm absolutely, definitely not leaving the house for any reason whatsoever until I know that I'm not a risk to anyone.
IzHe's still not well but definitely improving, he's started mithering which is always a good sign and is a massive relief. I still don't seem to have any appetite (well, not for food. Gin's a different matter...) but managed about half a chow mein last night. I know that I need to eat and that fresh and healthy gives me the best chance of not getting ill but I'm really struggling, it's like the massive knot in my stomach's taking up all the space.
I hope everyone's well. Take care and good luck xx8 -
Hello im struggling both mentally and physically. This Corona virus has really set my mental illness off.
Hugs to you Izadora glad oh is getting better i know the feeling if a knot in the tummy x
I have weighed in and lost 1lb a bit disappointed as again nothing changed if anything I was super busy on Saturday and busy cleaning to try and ward off the Corona - but hey there are major events happening so perspective is needed! Good luck to those WI and well done to those who have lost or STS and keep positive to those who have gained xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Ok here today - we spent a good hour on the allotment. (It’s just a fenced off corner of a farmer’s field - one on its own - so we weren’t going to see anyone).
B - damsons and yoghurt
L - scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
T - beef tagine and leeks. Sons had garlic potatoes with theirs.6 -
When does this challenge end is it the 31st March? If so I will WI on Tuesday instead of Wednesday xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

I'm glad Izhe is feeling a little better Izadora 🙂 i think gin is a good idea in the circumstances
i managed not to log my own weight last week 🙄😣 so will log a -2.5lb loss over the last two weekswhich considering the working at home picking I'm happy with. The problem from the dining room table I can see the kitchen.
Today it was my cat who interrupted the conference call by deciding he was going to get on my lap regardless of what I wanted and not easy when I'm sitting at the table, and when I told him no he then got on the table and walked over the key board 🙀 it made a change from the various children and dogs which cause background noise now we're all working from home 🙂 I can hear my manager rolling his eyes sometimes 😁 otherwise it was a conference call which contained several 'shoots' and 'gosh darn it's' from our Texas ladies 😁 and not quite so polite words from us and my Dutch colleague, the Indian ladies are always very very quiet and polite 🙂 I think we shock them sometimes 😳
B - banana
L - HM minestrone soup and toast
D - bubble and squeak with 2 fried eggs
S - kit kat, jelly beans

Good evening everyone
Cranky that’s good newsI hope you enjoyed your run today.
Izadora I’m glad Izhe’s on the mend. Would some mindfulness exercises help you to relax, do you think? It’s a very worrying time, but you’re doing all you can, the rest is up to other folk.
Molly well done on your loss 👏 every pound off counts. I’m sorry you too are finding things so stressful at the moment, bu remember you are a strong woman, you will pull through.
Frith it’s been a really lovely day for working on your allotment, it sounds really good.
Brambling your working environment sounds - fun -You know what the man said about working with children and animals ...😹🐈👨👩👧👧
It was a lovely day for tidying up in the garden, so that’s what I did! Also getting together tubs and pots for growing vegetables in, and giving them (and their resident spiders) a good wash.
Dishes of the day:
B : porridge
L : lo lentils & rice with salad of celery, cress, and rocket; apple
D : steamed cod with fennel, peas and carrots; cinnamon yogurt“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning All,
Molly Well done on the loss and I hope things are a bit easier for you today. I know everything is unbelievably weird at the moment but we will get through it.
Frith What a lovely day for getting to the allotment. Being outside anywhere other than my garden seems lovely right now.
Brambling Watching the news at the moment is definitely bad for your health. Very well done on the loss, especially in the current circumstances, and I hope that the cat's a more cooperative colleague today
Blue Doggy It was definitely a lovely day to be outside and well done for dealing with the spiders. Mindfulness is something I've often thought I would benefit from so thank you for the reminder, I'll have a look for some apps this afternoon.
IzHe update - he's still not quite right but better enough that he's sick of being in bed so he's now on the sofa in the shed/summer house.
I managed to have a very sensible dinner last night. I took a load of veg that was definitely nearing the end of its life, roasted it all with some herbs and spices and put it in some jacket potato skins, which were also very much in the eat it now or bin it category. As well as being healthy and saving wasting stuff it was also really tasty. It does seem to have kickstarted my appetite again though so heaven help the snack cupboard
Stay safe eveyryone and best of luck xx8 -
Afternoon All
Well done on your loss Molly
Izadora, glad IzHe is feeling a little better, I'm sure the change of scenery will do him good, the veggies sound delicious.I'm weighing in with a loss of 1lb, not much but I'll take it, I usually weigh in on a Wednesday so that's my last one for this challenge, bit disappointing. I'm really struggling to stay on track, as all this uncertainty and upheaval is having me reach for the biscuit and cake tin. Also although I usually meal plan 4 weeks at a time, I'm having to just work around what I can get, I have plenty of meat in the freezer and stare staple, but the veg and fruit is a bit hit and miss. I've managed to get some frozen veg today though, so hopefully I might be able to offer up some healthier meals. I have been doing the Joe Wicks P.E with the children everyday on the YouTube, lots of fun but surprisingly tough (or I'm more out of shape then I thought!) and still using my exercise bike daily.
I rang the garage and the MOT is still on tomorrow, I've promised my car if she's good and passes I shall treat her to some petrol and a nice soapy sponge at the weekend
Today
B pear and an orange
L toasty cheese and tomato sandwich
D probably some roasted potatoes and fish with broccoli and peas.
