Well done Short_bird 👏. I texted a elderly friend in her 80s yesterday who I know has neighbours helping her and said I assume you haven't been out? She said 'only to get the paper but it's ok I turned my face away whenever I passed anyone' 🙄 I think she is missing the point.
I walked with my sister this morning 10km at a safe distance from each other and other walkers up a local steep hill, no private conversations 🙂 it was a bit breezy and muddy but cleared the cobwebs. I didn't go in for my usual cuppa but I did acquire a piece of brownie my nephew had left cooling when he went to work 🤤. I'm hoping my asthma isn't considered bad enough (it's been a long time since I had a chest infection or needed steroids) that I'm advised to self isolate for 12 weeks
B - banana
L - brownie and a cuppa
D - LO roast beef and vegetables
S - 2 chocolate biscuits
it seems the cat is stock piling 😺🙀 I found four packs of dreamies 😳

Good evening everyone
Weighing in: I’ve lost 2 lb this week 🎉
I’m sorry I haven’t been posting so regularly, I’ve been doing more rushing about getting non-food preparations finished (it always takes longer than I think, even without stopping for coffee out), and Senior Doggy has had a bit of a tummy upset, so I’ve been sorting him out and washing lots of hairy dog bedding.Well done to all who’ve lost weight 👏, commiserations to those who’ve gained, and best wishes to those whose jobs are precarious or lost.
Yesterday I ate:
B : bacon & eggs
L : vegetable soup from the lovely little restaurant/tea shop in our village which has now become a takeaway
D : sausages, mixed veg (threw most of the veg away when I noticed the dead moth thing in it 🤮- I’m not that desperate for protein yet); blueberries with yogurt
S: 2 squares of morale-boosting chocolate
Today’s meals:
B : porridge
D : sage-crusted pork chop baked with parsnip and onion, spring greens; yogurt with raspberries
T : orange, apple and fat-free yogurt; slice of Victoria sponge cake 🍰 taken away yesterday from village tea shop.
S : 3 squares of choc“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi All,
Molly Well done on being restrained with the mother's day cake.
Sirens I can't believe how horrible some people are being. I don't see things calming down any time soon but I hope you've got some nice customers as well as the idiots.
Frith I hope you enjoyed the nettle foraging / eating
Brambling Wow, that sounds like a long and strenuous walk!! You most definitely deserved the brownie.
sillyvixen How lovely that you just about managed to get your surprise birthday / anniversary meal in. And it's a good idea to keep the dress, even if you just wear it round the house it's always nice to have something which makes you feel good.
short_bird Well done for the loss, even if it's in less than ideal circumstances
Cranky Well done on getting out for an early morning run. I've been really bad at managing to go for a run and really don't feel like going outside at all at the moment if I can help it.
Blue Doggy Well done on the loss and I hope senior doggy's tum's better now
Weighing in I have absolutely no idea how but I've lost -1lb this week.
I'm all over the place at the moment as my husband was fine this morning, felt a bit dizzy after eating lunch and has been in bed asleep all afternoon. When he took his temperature it was totally normal so I'm hoping that it's just a weird turn and nothing more serious but I'm now panicking over the fact that I dropped into my parents' house yesterday. I didn't touch any door handles, kept as far away from them as I could and only stayed long enough to drop off cake, pick up some toilet rolls and take a photo for my dad to renew his passport / driving license (I used my phone and emailed it to him rather than touching his phone) but I'm still scared that I might have been harbouring germs and passed them on. They're both in their 70s and my dad has COPD so they're definitely in a high risk category and I wasn't going to visit but my dad said that, as my brother had been there Saturday and works for the NHS, me popping in for 5 minutes wasn't going to be a problem. I was in enough of a panicked state in general and am really not good when I have too much time to think so what could possibly go wrong when I can't go out and the only other person in the house is asleep...
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx7 -
Im sure your parents will be fine Izadora try not to worry you took precautions xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.7 -
Good evening everyone
Brambling I’m glad you got some good fresh air and exercise, you certainly earned your brownie (brownie points?)Cats certainly know how to look after themselves 🐱.
Izadora Well done on your loss 👏 I hope your husband will be ok and it’s nothing serious, and that all goes well with your parents. I think we’re all a bit worried at present and thinking oddly.
Thank you for your good wishes for Senior Doggy. He is quite a bit better today (which is just as well as the vet’s has gone into lockdown 🙀). With so many places going into lockdown now, I hope I’ll be able to get my new glasses before the opticians goes. It’s been cold and windy but sunny yesterday and today, so I managed to get lots of washing dried on the line, and it all smells very fresh-airy.
Eaten today:
B : bacon & eggs
L : goats cheese with chicory and coleslaw; an orange
D : red pepper stuffed with rice and lentils in tomato sauce, peas and celery; yogurt with raspberries
S: 1 square of chocolate“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

B - garlic mushrooms
L - nettle soup
T - yesterday’s curry
Weighed this morning and have lost 3lbs.6 -
Hello everyone, I've had a fairly good day eating-wise and feel very optimistic about my next weigh in. It's good to hear from all of you and that you are doing ok. I am trying to be even more careful about sending the kids down to the shop in fact it won't be happening at all any more. I am in a high risk category and I would be devastated if any of my family caught it. We were very lucky and had shopping delivered this morning so that will have to do for the next couple of weeks. It will do me and my diabetes a lot of good to not eat any more snacks such as crisps and chocolate and so my aim for the next few months is to lose a stone and get creative with my meals. Today's food has been:
b - porridge
l- ham sandwich
d - chicken salad
s - banana and a tangerine
I am interested to hear what Boris has to say at 8.30, it's weird, I don't like the man but I am finding these daily briefings quite comforting. Anyway, I am off to make a cuppa and watch the news. Take care everyone xx

Well done Frith that 10lb in two weeks 👏👏.
I hope your hubby is feeling better Izadora hopefully it's just a turn and nothing more serious. Well done on your 1lb 👏
Boris' news was hardly surprising due to all the idiots on Sunday going to the seaside etc, people either don't think it will affect them or think 'it's just flu' 😡. Even through I've not gone far in the last few days it's a strange feeling knowing that I can't go out other than for very limited reasons, as I live alone I'm feeling a little isolated tonight I think it was being told you can only go out with another person if you share a house with them that hit it home a bit more. Silly I know, big girl pants will be pulled on in the morning I just felt a bit wobblery tonight 🥺
I dropped my car at the garage late afternoon for it's MOT and service tomorrow and have borrowed a car from them, selfishly I'm hoping it will still get it's MOT as otherwise I'm carless after the weekend, so foolishly I've been sitting here worrying about it 🙄 one way or another I'll have to go back up to the garage tomorrow so will be 'breaking the rules' before locking down
B-banana and some crackers
L- salmon and spinach quiche with beetroot and lettuce
D- LO roast beef and veg with mash potatoes
S- 2 x fibre one bar
sorry don't mean to moan, I'm very much aware it could be a lot worst 🙂Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin7 -
Brambling it's not silly at all. I feel incredibly isolated and I've got IzHe here (admittedly in bed and not exactly company at the moment but I'm hoping that will change soon) so you're allowed as many wobbles as you like. Best of luck with getting the car sorted. Times like this make me realise that I really do need to learn to drive. I failed 2 tests when I was 17 and never needed to drive enough to justify the cost but it definitely seems quite limiting right now.
And just because it could be worse doesn't mean that it's not rubbish so please don't ever feel you need to apologise for any moaning xx7
