Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 1

Hello hope you are all keeping well x
Im very worried about my DD as she works for a supermarket and has to deep clean the boxes that come back from isolating customers, also as we all know, the world has gone mad buying everything so she is worked off her poor feet and facing the wrath of angry customers. This is not good for her as she has Mental health problems. The only upside is she has managed to get anti bac stuff and is sending it to me from Scotland !
Anyway I have weighed in and would like to report a loss of 2lb so very pleased. I been active cleaning as trying to protect us from Corona. Good luck to those WI and well done to those who have lost and STS, keep positive to those who have gained xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -

Well done Molly you are nearly there
Miss Behaving I feel your STS pain as that what i'm recording this week as well. I'm almost embarrassed to be running this thread as I'm doing really badly
As from today i will be working from home until further notice, I'm not self isolating but as an asthmatic i fall under the advice to currently be 'social distancing' as i live alone i will miss the face to face interaction with my colleagues (a two hour skype call this morning shows we will be still talking) and the shut down of several social things i do has added to that. Needs must and all that so I'm not complaining but i may go a little stir crazy but at least i can work at home and still get paid, my sister next in age to me is in a no work no pay position. My eldest SIS and BIL who will be 80 this year and both with various health issues have self isolated since the weekend including their children and grandchildren and I think my other older siblings all in their 70s will also be doing this soon due to various health issues, cancer, COPD, heart issues between them, they aren't ones to complain but it does make me realise how much older they are to me
When did tonic become a need to have item i may be driven to drinking neat gin
Food wise today has been all over the place, I must get my head around the diet again, being at home isn't an excuse to eat all day
Take care all

Hope everyone is ok this evening. I’m quite wheezy but this could be from having my hair cut, going to the suppliers to get hen food or... just because!
B - sardines and avocado
L - the rest of the sardines and avocado...
T - kedgeree made with cauliflower rice7 -
Good evening everyone
Congratulations to all who’ve lost weight (especially Frith 👏 very well done!) or STS.
I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a couple of days, I’ve been busy with the closing down of various groups I’ve co-ordinated or been a member of (final meetings and lots of emails!), and trying to get my head around the prospect of indefinite solitary confinement. Today I was out and about trying to get bits and pieces (not food, that’s tomorrow) for outstanding DIY projects I might manage to get done during this time. I think know that my menus went off piste a bit, but back on track today:
B : fish fingers with fennel
L : porridge with blueberries; apple (I was cold and tired when I got home from out, so the planned salad was ditched)
D : herb omelette with mixed vegetables; cinnamon yogurt
S : two squares of 85% chocolate
Best wishes, everyone“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Minus 1... and minus 3 jobs luckily I have a food stash due to being coeliac and having to be prepared.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Afternoon All,
Sorry, work was crazy busy and then everything was just crazy and I've kind of lost track of a lot of posts here. Well done for any losses and STS and commiserations if there have been any gains.
Brambling As you've told us often enough, if this was easy then we'd all be a size ten. So please don't beat yourself up over how you're doing on this challenge and thank you again for your sterling effort in keeping track of all of us. I hope you managed to get some tonic in the end, although there's something quite appealing about neat gin right now!!
Frith I hope the wheezy's calmed down now
Blue Doggy Well done for getting back on track and I hope you managed to get some food. The supermarkets round here are ridiculous, they're even running out of booze!!
short_bird Well done on the loss and if you're restricted in what you can eat it's probably just as well that you're stocked up already !!
roundtuit I hope you're feeling better soon.
Well, seeing as I was struggling to diet anyway and find it harder when working from home the next however-long is going to be interesting. I know that I'm in a very fortunate position that my husband and I can both work from home (he's actually contracted as a home worker) so we don't have to worry about not being able to pay rent but it's all making me feel strangely uneasy and, as per usual, my reaction to that is to stuff myself full of carbs and sugar. I'm not sure whether I'm grateful that my normal shopping patterns mean that we have plenty of food in the house or gutted that everyone having emptied the supermarket shelves won't force me into eating less
Keep safe everyone and extra good luck wishes for holding it together when the world's going crazy xx7 -
Good evening everyone
short_bird well done on the weight loss 👏 but I’m very sorry to hear about your jobs. Very best wishes
roundtuit get well soon 💐🍇
Izadora thank you, yes living alone I always have enough food in to cope for a couple of weeks of emergency, such as flu, hurricane or blizzard. I went to the supermarket today and got most of what was on my list, so aside from milk and eggs (both the sm and my village are egg-free zones at the moment!) I’m fine for a bit, and my neighbours have kindly offered to help if necessary.
I’ve been listing the good and bad points of this situation, and among the good points is that it’s very well timed for spring cleaning! Also, not socialising will mean not eating cakes or biscuits👍 unless I make them myself. I might even tackle the mending pile ... All I’m waiting for now is delivery of Junior Doggy’s special diet food (ordered on Sunday).
Food today:
B : porridge
L : goats cheese salad with chicory, beetroot and coleslaw (deli aisle of the sm again!); tangerine
D : stir fried chicken with leek, spring greens and carrots; yogurt with blueberriesS : 2 squares of 85% chocolateStay well and safe everyone“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
