Good morning everyone
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 3lb so that has cheered me up immensely. Food wise it's been a bit of a dodgy week as it was my daughter's birthday and she chose lasagne and garlic bread for her birthday dinner. There also might have been some chocolate cake. The rest of the time though I have tried to be sensible.
My menu today is:
b - porridge and an apple
l - ham and salad wrap
d - creamy garlic chicken from the PON book but I am going to sub leeks for mushrooms as my daughter won't eat them.
Hope you all have a great day xx

Afternoon All,
Honey I think you've made it official, it's the dieting that's making me fat
jackrabbit Well done on a STS, especially when you're worrying about your son. I hope that the lighter days make things easier for him
Blue Doggy Thank you, I may be about to slide down the chart with alarming haste but it's a good reminder that I'm still lighter than I was at the start of the year. I hope you enjoyed being able to get out in the garden, a bit of sunshine makes everything seem so much better. It's very sad but I was actually quite excited that I managed to get the washing line-dried for the first time this year
Frith I hope that yesterday's tea was more satisfying. I do seem to find that, if I stick properly to plan, I have a rather rumbly tummy a lot of the time!
Dumpling Well done on the loss, even with your daughter's birthday celebrations. I think that we all need days like that sometimes, I just find it difficult to make them the exception rather than very much the norm.
Well, last night's Chinese dinner was a bit hit and miss and the prep took way longer than I expected so I was a bit frazzled by the end. My husband and my dad liked the prawn sesame toasts (which I am never, ever making again - I hate things that spit when you fry them and they were vicious) and loved the char sui pork (originally intended to go into Singapore noodles but I had to scrap that idea when the vermicelli ended up a stodgy mess - it's just as well rice is quick and easy...) but the beef in black bean was a bit of a disaster. I ended up draining off most of the sauce I'd made and throwing in a packet of ready made stuffThe szechuan tofu was much more successful though and, if I was doing only that, would be a very easy meal so will definitely be added to the dinner list.
I hope everyone's having a good day and best of luck xx8 -
Day 4!

Jackrabbit wishing you all wellWell done on STS though 👍
Frith your menus look interesting, are you following a particular diet regime?Dumpling 👏👏👏 congratulations on your loss! I’m glad you were able to enjoy your DD’s birthday, too.
Izadora well done on your Chinese dinner, especially if it’s the first time you’ve cooked those dishes. It sounds like more succeeded than didn’t and your quick thinking saved a couple of them. It’s been quite sunny most of the day, but blustery March winds were icy and there were occasional hail showers, really a day to be observed through glass.Today’s food:
B : porridge
L : chicken and ham salad (chicorybeetroot
and coleslaw
must not go down the deli aisle in the sm when I’m peckish!); yogurt with cinnamon
D : stir fried roast lamb with spring greens, leek and celery; tangerine“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Hi guys I'll catch up tomorrow, I didn't get home from work until 8pm and I 'm nursing a headache having spent five hours on a conference call with a couple of Texans one of whom had no indoor voice. I can't concentrate now and would hate to have you all gain 😳Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8

It is a lot easier since I abandoned everything except calorie counting.
Todays menu.
Belly pork, mash green beans, gravy.
Two humongous cornets. (Is there an Olympic sport to see who can get the most ice-cream on? I'm going for gold.)
