Old Style Weight Loss 2020 - Part 1

Good morning x I'd like to report a weight loss of 2lbs so I am very pleased. Wonder where our lovely Dumpling is? Keep positive well done to those who have lost or STS. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -
Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around. I am reporting a 3lb gain this week as I have decided to bite the bullet and jump on the scales before things deteriorated any further. I am struggling so much with health worries so I want to carry on losing weight to give myself the best chance possible.
Today's food will be:
b - grilled bacon roll
l - spicy parsnip soup
d - Mediterranean chicken and orzo
s - banana and a yoghurt
Now it's written in black and white I will do my very best to stick to it. Good luck everyone xx

Morning All,
Dumpling I'm not surprised that Dorset makes you put on weight, it seems to be full of very lovely treats and goodies. I'd never been to Lulworth Cove before but will definitely be going back. The cottage we stayed in was absolutely stunning, like something out of an episode of Miss Marple, and I really liked the whole area as it was incredibly relaxed and friendly.
roundtuit Sorry, I don't think I ever said hello after catching up on posts. Welcome to the group and best of luck.
Molly Well done on another great loss, you're doing so well (sorry, that sounds quite patronising but it's really not meant to)
Dumpling I'll budge up for you to join me on the naughty step. Dieting's hard at any time but when you're worrying about things it makes it even worse. I hope that we both manage to get off the step next week, although if I don't get better at avoiding the biscuit tin I may be here for a while...
roblou Your menu for today sounds lovely and really makes me wish I liked fish. I love the idea of it and I know that it's really good for you but I can't stand any kind of fish.
I'm working from home today and feeling tired and achy so had an oh-so-sensible breakfast of coffee and biscuits and am trying to convince myself to eat something a bit healthier for lunch. My husband's doing dinner tonight and is doing kedgeree for him and my parents and a veggie version for me. He's also asked for jam roly poly for dessert, which I know is one of my dad's favourites as well, and I seem to remember it being easy enough to make so I'll probably have a small bit of that as well. My weekend off dieting seems to be lasting a rather long time...
Best of luck everyone xx7 -
Evening Everyone and Hugs to All.
Sorry I have been awol for a bit, work troubles.
Sorry to push in but could you move along the naughty step and make room for me and my +3lb, particularly bad week end and more to come this week as I am up to my elbows making (requested) red velvet cake for dd's 16th birthday tomorrow and nut free macarons to decorate. This will be followed by 2 meals out over the weekend too, so shall be taking up residence on said naughty step for the next couple of weeks
Today work day so
B porridge, milk/water, berries, tsp of chia seeds and tsp of maple syrup
To busy so no lunch break apple on train home
D lamb stew that my df had made, was very tasty and much appreciated as was ravenous
had an orange and will probably have a biscuit later.
Tomorrow off day
Not sure on meals really, will make pancakes for the kids before school, dd has requested tacos for dinner (her favourite) we are not going out tomorrow as she is busy studying for her mocks, I shall probably have pasta for dinner and cake

It will get a bit crowded Sirens as I gained 1/2 lb
. Works been a bit crazy so I suppose I should be grateful that's all. The way I'm going I'll be lucky to break even this quarter.
Dumpling you've done really well this quarter and this is your first 😈 it's difficult to juggle your health issues and trying to lose weight but look at the lost stone and not the gain 🙂
Sirens I can relate on work not helping with the diet, all you can is ride out the next couple of weeks, I'll reserve a space on the naughty step for you 😋 as I'm due to work a lot of extra hours in the next few weeks I'll probably see you there
Well done Molly 👏 you're on the downward slope to your target 😁
works been really busy so I need to plan some healthy snacks to keep me out of the biscuit tin and fill me up between 5pm and 7pm as I e agreed to work late at least three days a week for the next three weeks I may make some mini egg muffins at the weekend for snacks for next week
B - fruit and porridge
L - turkey soup and crackers
D - jacket potato, cheese, coleslaw
S - too many 😖

Morning everyone, SIRENS, just popped a cushion down next to me and patting it gently!
IZADORA I like to have a couple of non meaty days a week if possible but I struggle sometimes as I'm not very adventurous in that respect and don't like quorn products that much, sausages not too bad and the burgers are fine but I don't like the mince or fillets. I use lentils and beans a lot but it can get a bit Windy Miller!!
Out and about today, quite busy this morning before 11 then off to pictures. So I know some of the menu today but may be winging dinner as I don't think the film finishes till after 2.
So far the plan is
B - oaty pancakes with the usual
D - ?
T - SW meal last one from the freezer with rice
S - fruit
Wishing you all joy today.

Morning
Reporting in late with yesterday's update (I don't have a smart phone and I didn't go online on the laptop yesterday evening but I don't want to lose this accountability - writing down what I have eaten has stopped my evening 'shovelling'!)
So, yesterday's menu was:
B - 2 Weetabix
D - fish, chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce - lunch out with DS
T - toasted cheese sandwich, yogurt
S - banana, apple, crisps
The gap between breakfast (7am) and lunch (2.30 pm) was too long which is why I reached for the bag of crisps - by 1pm I was getting 'hangry' at work, and the apple wasn't going to meet the need. (Not sure that the crisps did actually, but heyho, done now!)
Have a good day ladies ( and gents if there are any)

Good afternoon everyone
I'm back on it like a car bonnet! Manage to cut down on my snacking by a lot and had a sensible meal for dinner as well. Today is going to be even better I have decided. I feel very motivated and while the naughty step is very comfy with all the pillows and cushions and company, I don't want to take up permanent residence there.
My meals today are:
b - small bowl of porridge
l - milk, crusty roll and soft cheese and ham
d - chicken and rice all in one pot type of thing
s - apple and a banana
Hope you are all having a great day and making healthy choices xx
