I'm making the most of being motivated and having the 'right' head on
B - porridge
L - quorn, mashed potato, Brussells sprouts, carrots, onion rings and gravy (lunch at Dad's)
T - mushroom omelette. yogurt
S - banana, apple

I know I've got to start sometime. Strangely, the other New Years Resolutions are going quite well, as is the bit of paperwork I am doing locally at the moment. Not particularly depressed (have been since I was 9). Sons OK, one thriving working in France.
Eating is out of control.
B - porridge, treacle and banana
L - 6 cornflake cakes
T - roast pork, carrots, peas, braised red cabbage, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, gravy.
After tea - final 6 cornflake cakes.
Later - large roll of pork and stuffing.
I was never bullied for being fat. I never was, though. 9 stones-ish, lower at sixth form as I had meningitis and went down to 6.5 before I recovered (at 5 foot 7). 8.5 stones due to the poverty of University then generally 9-10.
I knew I was unhappy as a child but bizarrely didn't figure out until I was 35 that my mother bullied my relentlessly. It seems strange even typing it. She's very popular and almost overly-nice to everyone outside the family. She is also an alcoholic, which is just starting to impact on her more. Married at 23 which went wrong almost instantly. Had nowhere to go so stayed until 29 when I went to a refuge. He made life as miserable as possible for the first 8 years after I left him but eventually got old and tired and my sons haven't seen him for years. So alone for 15 years on carer's allowance for my younger son, sometimes no petrol and never no food at all, but often not the combinations of food you would choose! I was more upbeat when my sons were younger and kept me busy all day long, and going for a walk, watching Dr Who and playing Lego would make them happy. Nothing fits me now and the extra 2 stones (could be more by now!) does not suit my pointy face.

A very sheepish morning all. BRAMLING can you put me down for +1.5
. Totally my own fault. Looking back at the week, it's the usual I'll just have that it won't make much difference or I'll just use that up. Using my mouth for recycling. Gutted but onwards and upwards. I just have to stick to the meal plan and follow my own advice look at it at the end of the month.
So sorry FRITH, that you had to go through all that but my goodness what strength you must have inside you. Thank you for sharing your story.
Meal plan today...she says with hope!
B - oaty pancakes yogurt,blueberries and honey.
D - butternut squash soup....no bread
T - cold pork, veg
S- fruit
Hopefully I stick to it, ever hopeful.

So sorry Frith we all have our own reasons for our weight loss journey i can identify with as regards the bullying as it eats away at your self esteem and you eat to comfort yourself - be kind to yourself xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.8 -

Hi Brambling just to say, my weighing in result is on the previous page, so didn’t get added to the updated chart
When you have time, please could add it in? 😀 Many thanks!Blue_Doggy said:Weighing in
Good evening everyone
I’ve lost another 1 lb so quite pleased, steady as she goes (may go pear-shaped this week though.) Out to lunch today with a friend, the start of another social week

I've plumped up the cushions on the naughty step for you Roblou
no need to beat yourself up we all have bad weeks and some of us have more than others
I've got the ruler out so you can draw a line under the week
I may use your quote of using my month for recycling, it was what i was doing yesterday whilst sorting the kitchen cupboards.
SeekingFlight well done on STS with a visitor in the house, any visits from my mum used to involve a weight gain afterwards
Frith it's difficult to start dieting if your head isn't in the right place and it looks like you have a lot going on at the moment. We're be here when you want to start recording your losses, meanwhile feel free to post until you are readyjust be aware as a lady of a certain age I occasionally lose the plot and have to be prodded to see a weight in and record it
I started my morning with hospital appt with the ENT consultant, an accident in town meant the traffic was almost grid locked on all ways into town, if I had listened to the local news before I left home I would have walked the 2 miles to the hospital rather than trying to drive. I managed to get out of the traffic and to a friends house to abandoned my car, my exercise for the day will be doing the 17-18 min walk in approx 10 mins to find out the consultant was running late as they were stuck in the trafficat least it saved on the parking
