Good evening everyone
Jackrabbit I hope you and your DS are getting over your coughs and colds, and that the snow is letting you get about when and where you need to.
Brambling I hope things are getting better health- and work-wise. I expect the carrot cake was medicinal (take 2 once a day).
Procrastinator glad you had a very enjoyable evening.I still haven’t got to grips with multiple quotes.
Sillyvixen congratulations! Very well done on dropping two dress sizes :j:j: that’s wonderful.
Molly STS isn’t bad, you dropped 7lbs quite quickly, so your body has to take a pause before letting some more weight go.Stay with what you’re doing and it will. No-one is judging anyone here, we record our progress and are congratulated or commiserated with accordingly. Most if not all of us have loss times and stick times.
Stay strong and keep going.
Izadora well done on your good choice for lunch yesterday :T
Did you manage to resist the Christmas goodies today?
janiebaby and short_bird well done on identifying what has paused your weight loss, :T and well done on STS in spite of it.
B: fish fingers, fennel and tomato
L: cottage cheese with salad ( chicory, beetroot and apple)
D ham omelette with mixed veg, cinnamon yogurt

It definitely seems to be static Wednesday today as I also only managed a STS today. I'm blaming the carrot cake  i was really good all weekend and then went to work and it's been down hill since
Molly I agree with Blue Doggy you've lost 7lb this month so don't be too hard on yourself, I probably should take my on advice :cool:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

Thank you for your kind supportive words, Im just so limited what I can do so I get a bit frustrated but trying to keep positive as should all of you xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Another one with a STS week here. Second in a row which reflects the effort (or rather the lack of) that I've put in.
I'm feeling more "with it" today. I started cooking again this week. I made butter chicken from the Mowgli book. If you don't add the butter at the end (which doesn't make that much difference) it's actually very diet friendly. I used fat free yogurt instead of normal and the other ingredients are onion, spices, garlic, ginger, tomato puree, chopped tomatoes and chicken.
Molly41 Could you do a little bit of walking on the spot? I'm going to try it this week as I'm not going to get out to go running. Waiting for the kettle to boil.....walk on the spot. Running my bath....walk on the spot. Cooking.....walk on the spot between stirring or while waiting for the timer to ping. It's remembering to do it that's hard.
Take care all of you0 -
Thank you for the welcomes.
Brambling and Izadora the meal replacement can get a bit boring, but it means I don't have to think about breakfast and lunch, just a healthy dinner.
I did well with them last year, but only using up what I have left this time.
I've started using the couch to 5k app this week My oh and I have been on two walk/runs so far. Difficult to start with as I haven't exercised for quite some time.
Please put me down for a 1lb loss this week Brambling.0 -

Afternoon All,
Well done to all the STS, I tend to take anything which isn't a gain as a positive, and best of luck with any tweaks you want to make this week. I do think sewing your mouth shut might be a slightly extreme course of action though
Work's being annoyingly busy today and I keep only managing to get halfway through one job before someone interrupts me and asks me to do something else.
Today's food:
B - Bran flakes with a splash of skimmed milk
L - Leftover casserole
D - Pasta with mushroom, onion and quorn bacon in a creme fraiche sauce
S - Hotel Chocolat lemon caramel
Best of luck everyone xx0 -
Evening All
Well I'm also joining the STS club this week, I was a little disappointed but then dh reminded we we'd had a takeaway at the weekend plus some cheesecake, so I'm rather relieved now :rotfl:
I have been using my exercise bike every evening since Sunday, 9nly managing half an hour at the moment as I find my knees us a bit sore any longer than that, but I guess it all helps, hoping for a loss next week.
Cranky your curry sounds delicious, I do love a curry, I've made low fat tikka and rendang but not tried my hand at butter chicken, that's next on my list.
Today I had
B 2 airfriec sausage in a wml pitta
L rice and chicken
D baked butternut squash stuffed with rice, tomatoes and kale, very tasty, I would make it again, ds was not too keen on the kale though so might substitute it with spinach next time.
Might have a tiny green and black bar later,I got one of those assortments from dm at Christmas, so have been eking it out.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Well done for all the STSs and Sunflwer lost :T. Definitely a static week
Cranky thanks for the butter chicken idea, I was wondering what to do with some chicken thighs in the freezer, I've found the recipe and will just need to see how well it decreases as I don't want to put too much in the freezer
Well done on the need for new uniforms SillyVixon
It's been one of those weeks so I'm I've been desperately trying not to pick today, the IT issues are still causing issues not helped by the lack of communication by IT  and I think the lurgy is about to pounce ready for the weekend. Chicken carcass has been removed from the freezer and chicken soup will be made tomorrow made the way my mum did
B - porridge and fruit as per usual in winter
L - HM minestrone soup from the freezer and pack of crisp
D - salmon, new potatoes and green veg
S - grapes, 2 fibre one brownies, tube of smartiesLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
