    Good evening everyone :)

patentgirl well done on your loss :j a loss is a loss, even if it’s only small :)

procrastinator that looks like another beautifully varied salad full of goodness! Yum! :) I hope you manage to get your exercise.

Miss Behaving, Honey thank you both for your suggestions. Senior D takes Dasuquin daily, and has just had a cartrophen injection. He also has regular physiotherapy with a member of Canine Arthritis Management.

Cranky even STS is good when your mojo has gone awol :) I hope it comes back soon and you can mash your raw ingredients into something delicious.

Izadora well done on the wp fairy front :D . Your “rice veggie thing” sounds good, a lovely way to use up bits of veg. Mmmmm, violet creams .... Good luck with your C25K (you’ve probably done it by now!). The worry with Senior D wanting a big cuddle is that he’s usually a “don’t fuss me” sort of guy. He likes to sleep with his head on my foot, but doesn’t do a lot of “soft stuff”.

honey I think I’d have been starving too after such a small light breakfast :) I hope the rest of the day made up for it.

Jackrabbit well done on your loss :j and good luck on your 5k walk tomorrow. Glad you’ve found your chocolate fix.

Brambling :D if you do make the bake, I hope you enjoy it :) (less sugar than bananas, but not so good on porridge :rotfl:). I hope your cat’s leg is comfortable, is he the handsome beast in your avatar?

Sue congratulations on a good weight loss :j your hard work is being rewarded. Hugs. I’m sure sausages and chips are less fattening when eaten in company :D

Senior Doggy has been more like himself today, so I’ve been less worried. He still tends to forget he’s eaten, and stands by the dog food cupboard looking patiently hopeful. Thank you to everyone who offered helpful suggestions for him. :)

    Today’s menu:
    B: steamed hake with fennel
L: ham and chicken salad (chicory, beetroot, chopped apple)
D microwaved salmon with stir-fried onion, broccoli stem, & lo green beans & celeriac, cinnamon yogurt
    S: none

Wishing you all a good weekend!

  • Didn't get out, this follows a pattern I seem to get stuck for several days at a time and need to force myself out. To that end I have agreed to go to London tomorrow with a friend, to Royal Opera House to see La Traviata. Never seen an opera before so looking forward to it.

    Lunch Boiled eggs
Dinner home made bean burger. Used up all the ends of jars from xmas, caramelised onions, spoonful of cranberry sauce etc. Put some mozerella in it too. had with baked carrots, peppers mushrooms. Also broccoli and end of packet of spinach together with last of herby cream cheese. was delicious.

Got a good number of glasses of water in today. One coffee on licorice tea one green tea.

    Morning All,

I had a bit of work to do this morning so thought I'd pop by while I'm logged on.

Sue Well done on the loss and I hope you enjoyed the sausage and chips. Seeing as you hadn't eaten much else I'm sure it was well deserved.

Blue Doggy I'm glad that senior doggy's feeling a bit better. Our cat likes to pretend that he hasn't been fed and constantly goes and begs whichever one of us didn't last feed him :D

procrastinator Your use-up bean burgers sound delicious. I hope you enjoy La Traviata.

Molly I can see why your Nanny liked them. It's quite dangerous that I've got a shop about 2 minutes away from work, I'm kind of scared to go in for fear of what else I'll come out with.

Yesterday went to plan and we had omelette (mine was mostly egg white, IzHe's was mostly egg yolk...) with home made potato wedges after C25K. I managed to resist the lure of a G&T but did have some Minstrels - only 8, so not too bad but enough to feel like I'd had a treat.

Today will hopefully look something like this:
B - A couple of cups of coffee
    L - Possibly a Quorn bacon sarnie
D - Veggie haggis with mashed potato and swede and loads of veg
S - Maybe a G&T. I've still got a couple of little ones from my advent calendar to use up so they'll stop me being too heavy-handed with my pouring.

Have a good weekend all xx
  • Izadora you are a champion i love floral flavoured creams i don't think i could stop at 1.5

Dropping in with a -3lb loss after todays weigh in.

Now that i've adapted to eating less i'm trying to focus on the quality of my food better. Going to pop out and get some chicory and braise it to go with dinner tonight people keep mentioning it and i forgot how much i actually like it :)

Just weighed myself after missing out last week as I'd been ill. I've lost 3lb which I'm really pleased with as I haven't got back into the swing of exercise yet. I've done a couple of short walks this week but that's it.

  • :(Hi

I have been very poor at posting my figures. I always start these challenges with good intentions but don't follow through:(. I'm going to try harder this time. I've lost 4lbs so far.

All very uneventful in Doggyworld today.

    Dishes of the day were:
    B: bacon & eggs
L: sardine salad with red chicory, fennel, olives and tomato paste (I use tomato paste in place of ketchup or other sauce as fewer calories and less sugar), apple
D chicken thigh baked with onion and carrots, broccoli, cinnamon yogurt
    S: none

    Evening All

Some brilliant losses, well done everyone :T

Blue Doggy, glad Senior Doggy is feeling more like himself, perhaps the cold and damp just got him down and he needed a cuddle, we all need that sometimes

Was working today, not too busy and we have more staff in on a Saturday so was fairly uneventful, dd made blueberry muffin whilst I was out, that girl needs to take up knitting or some other hobby that doesn't involve me eating :rotfl:

    Today I had
    B porridge, berries
L veg and lentil curry and rice
D chilli and rice cooked by dd (again, good job I like rice this is the fourth meal in 2 days I've had rice with!)
    Probably a blueberry muffin

Tomorrow we are having fish and chips (no rice!) we have one takeaway a month usually so this is it. I'm really looking forwards to it as I love fish and chips :p

Great minds think alike. I put tomato puree on my husband's "diabetic friendly" hot dogs today instead of ketchup and he didn't even notice.

    Today...

    Chickpea vegeburger and baked beans.
    Cherries.

    Cheese butty.
