  • wondering if I can cook it normally in the oven ?

I’ve never cooked it in the oven, so I can’t say. With the microwave the vegetables cook at the same time, the juices blend and it doesn’t dry out. I cook salmon in the microwave as well. :) HTH

I've added a bit of red pepper and okra that needed using up and will try it in the oven . I like to try to cook in the oven as it's the only time I really get to chill after working all day . Will update you on how it was.

    Good evening everyone :)

SIRENS your cake sounded good, I’m glad it turned out as good. Your Monday journey sounds horrendous, well done you on not comfort eating. :)

Bfh, Molly, Miss Behaving, short_bird, s_glover wow! Some good weight loss going on there. I make that 10.8 lbs lost between you! :j:j:j:j:j

Izadora I hope the will-power fairy sat on the biscuit tin all day :rotfl: . Well done on getting your C25K done in good time. :)

Everyone who’s been poorly get well soon, best wishes :)

janiebaby I hope all turned out well. Bon appetit.

I’d like to say it was a quiet day today, but next-door have the builders in, so a bit of crashing, banging and sawing. I was quiet, Senior Doggy was quiet, and Junior Doggy only barked when he went into the garden.

    Dishes of the Day:
    B:fish fingers, tomato, fennel
L: jacket potato with baked beans, tangerine
D two small fingers of cheese with olives, game casserole with freshly cooked carrots & Brussels sprouts, yogurt
    S: one square 85% chocolate

Well done everyone :T:T some great weigh ins today. I've managed -1.5lb this week so I'm happy :). We won't talk about the cup cake brought in for the managers birthday ;)

BlueDoggy I can relate to the building noise although my neighbours must soon be finished, at least it's a lot quieter than it was :). Hopefully it wouldn't go in for too long

I think I got you all but as always if I've miss your weigh in please poke me. :p

  • Just one coffee today, several cups of mint and licorice tea. and some water.

Lunch, cooked up a whole bag of dried beans, had a good portion for lunch in a large salad. So beans, spinach, watercress, tomato, spring onion, olives, two small new potatoes from fridge, artichoke pieces from jar, used the oil with balsamic vinegar to make dressing. Very tasty.

    Walnuts and pears.

    Morning All,

Miss Behaving Well done on the loss

sarahj 16,700 steps a day!!! That sounds like a lot but best of luck with it.

short_bird Well done on the loss

s_glover Well done for managing a loss, especially when feeling poorly. I hope the relative rest worked and you're feeling better today

janiebaby I hope you enjoyed the veg bake

Blue Doggy Yes, the fairy was very good and stayed sitting firmly on the biscuit tin all day. It's just a shame she didn't have a friend on the cheeselets tub... I hope the builders next door are quieter today

Brambling Well done on the loss. Cupcake? What cupcake?

procrastinator Your bean salad sounds lovely.

Yesterday wasn't quite to plan (I didn't have any breakfast in the end but then had some cheeselets as an afternoon snack) but according to fitbit/myfitnesspal my calories in were way lower than those out so I'm happy with that.

It's that time of the month so I'm in pain, grouchy and want all the carbs and fats... :rotfl:

That said, I'll try to stick to the following:

    B - marmite on toast
L - Quorn peppered steaks and couscous
D - some kind of vegetables and rice concoction
S - probably chocolate, hopefully not too much

    Best of luck everyone xx

    Hi all,

I'm feeling quite a bit better than yesterday, although still a little under par.

I've developed a rather annoying tickly cough which was waking me up in the night.
Yesterday afternoon my body was definitely telling me to eat, so eat I did. Not in great excess however I did maybe have one too many packets of crisps, in hindsight maybe a slice or two of toast would have been a better choice.

Had an orange, satsuma and cereal bar for breakfast. When i got back to work from a meeting offsite I was starving so had a muller rice and banana. For lunch I've had bulgar wheat and roasted veg (leftovers) and a packet of sunbites. I'm anticipating needing a more substantial mid afternoon snack than usual too! Looking forward to pealla for tea.
