Well done for all the losses and STSs :T:T If I've missed anyone please give me a shout :)

FrugalLina well done on the STS at a difficult time <<hugs>> Unfortunately this time of the year there always seems a backlog for funerals, my poor neighbour had to wait 7 weeks last year when his wife died just before Christmas

It is absolutely cruel to make people wait for weeks to bury loved ones.
I amazed anyone gets through that awful wait in limbo without becoming unhinged.
How did this happen? It seems to make no difference what time of year people die, there is always a wait.

The willpower fairy visited me in the night.
Today I have been perfectly on plan, with...

beef curry, brown rice, mango chutney.

Waldorf salad (celery apple walnuts grapes yogurt)

    Oat bran with cream.

    :j

    Tomorrow's plan is

    Waldorf salad

    Beef curry.

    Bacon chickpea and vegetable soup.

Things have changed Honey, when we lost my dad in 1984 he died on the Monday evening and the funeral was the Friday afternoon with my mum 8 years ago we had to wait 2 weeks and you're right you can't move on  My Irish BIL was horrified as he said in Ireland it's usually 3 days.

Can you please ask the willpower fairy if she has any friends I'm sure all on the thread could benefit from a visit. :)

Procrastinator I hope the cold doesn't develop

Today has been a little picky, the disadvantage of working from home, although the cat was happy as he got company and sneaked in lunch

    B - banana
L - chicken wrap followed by fresh pineapple and mango
D - LO veg from yesterday with pot roast rose veal shoulder
    S - I didn't take note on what I was eating

    Hello x
I understand where you are all coming from. When my Dad died on the 23rd December we had to wait til the and of January to bury him it was dreadful especially for my mother x
Im ok plodding on some very spectacular losses and for those who have sts and lost keep positive. Weigh in for me tomorrow finger crossed. Hope you all have a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Sending love and hugs to all who need it.

Feeling much better now, though still not eating a great deal. Had some toast yesterday morning and then made Shepherds Pie in the evening. Still not quite back to exercising though, maybe by the end of the week.

    Morning All,

s_glover It definitely sounds like things have been busy. I hope you enjoyed Stereophonics. I've seen them a couple of times and was really impressed with how good they were live.

sarahj Well done for keeping up with the steps. If I didn't walk as much as I do getting to/from work I hate to think how low mine would be.

Frugalina Very well done on a STS in a horrible situation.

    janiebaby Hello and welcome.

Blue Doggy As far as accidental snacks go, low calorie wine and dates doesn't sound too bad so hopefully you get away with it.

Procrastinator It sounds like a lovely day and the added benefit of lots of walking

Honey Well done on the will power, it really is a constant battle so treat every day you don't give in to temptation as a win.

Brambling I do like the lack of commute and dealing with idiots that you get when working from home but increased snacking is a definite pitfall. At least you make the cat happy by being there.

Molly Well done for keeping on plodding and best of luck for tomorrow

Toonie I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and it's probably wise not to push yourself too hard and exercise before you're ready.

I managed to ignore the evil gremlins yesterday and just about kept it under control

B - Bran flakes with a splash of skimmed milk
    L - Couscous salad
    D - Quorn bolognese & pasta
S - A Lindt elf, a Ferrero Rondnoir & a chocolate orange (an individually wrapped one from a multi box rather than a whole orange :D)

Today will look pretty similar but I'll have leftover mushroom roast and veg for dinner and no snacks.

    Best of luck everyone xx

Izadora - the Stereophonics were awesome. We have seen them before in an arena. This time it was a much smaller venue, so a different experience but just as good.

yesterday I had a nice wander out at lunch and it was a pretty good food day. I had some very nice carrot cake a colleague brought in for their birthday. Not the best for weight loss but I'm trying to allow myself nice things as I know if I'm too strict that's when I'm likely to fall off the wagon. yesterday evening I gave blood so had a couple of treats after that too.

This morning i woke up feeling like a cold was brewing and I've been feeling more achy as the afternoon goes on. So much so that I've actually cancelled spinning tonight. pretty annoying as I'm rarely ill but I figure it's the sensible thing to do. Fingers crossed I'll be feeling better by Thursday's class.I had a wander into town at lunchtime so I have at least done over 12,000 steps so far today.

I think a quiet evening on the sofa under a blanket is a good plan and an early night.

    Good evening everyone :)

Procrastinator, Toonie, s_glover very best wishes to you all, I hope you soon feel much better.

Honeythewitch well done on luring the will-power fairy. I hope she was so comfy she won’t want to leave (but has plenty of sisters looking for comfortable homes. :D)

Brambling a happy cat makes a happy home. :)

Molly41 well done on keeping on plodding on, it’s like the old saying “one step after another and you can walk from Edinburgh to London”. :) best of luck for tomorrow’s weigh-in.

Izadora congratulations on ignoring the gremlins :T maybe you got a bit of honey’s willpower-fairy dust too.

Out to lunch with friends today, signed up sponsors for my weight loss and got a bit of teasing as well, but all good. Very tired this afternoon, not entirely due to walking to restaurant and back. The dogs played “find the hidden treats” instead of going for a walk. It was very cold, too.

    B: porridge
L: white wine spritzer, lambs liver with smoked bacon, onion gravy, mashed potatoes, fresh veg ( Savoy cabbage, broccoli, carrots), followed by mini bread & butter pudding with my coffee
D aubergine fennel & tomato bake, apple
    S: 2 squares of 85% chocolate

    Evening All

The cake was very nice and definitely worth it, but I shall try to discourage dd from baking it again for awhile, will suggest chocolate cake, as I'm not really a fan ;)
I have put aside one slice to have tomorrow after weigh day though.
I surprised myself on Monday after an awful day trying to get home from work (they cancelled 2 trains making the next few to busy to get on to, so I spent over an hour on a freezing cold station waiting to squeeze on a train). On my eventual way home I though s@d it I'm eating cheese on toast, cake, crisps and everything else, but when I got in I had some rice and spinach and some left over chicken :A

    Today I had
    B porridge milk/water, berries
    L chilli/couscous/spinach
    Cereal bar
    D jacket/cheese/broccoli
    Nat yog/mini meringue/ strawberries/ squirt choc sauce
