STS
Wish it was a loss but have to accept the scales especially as made a few bad choices.
Feeling like I'm going down with cold/lurgy of some kind. Making sure I drink plenty not feeling up to a full meal mostly snacking, brazil nuts, walnuts, cheese, pear, apple.
Thank you to everyone who have posted encouraging comments. It makes me feel very welcome and positive. You are very kind.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Procrastinator I know how frustrating a STS can be, if you're coming down with something it won't help you to eat healthily, why is it when I'm ill I never fancy fruit or veg it's always carbs  but you seem to be eating fruits and nuts which is good
We're all in the same boat here so all we can do is offer support and a shoulder if requiredwe do have a naughty step which I used several times last quarter and a big ruler to draw a line under a bad week and start again
after all if it was easy we would all be a size 10
Work has just finished due to a slight blip which involved a call to India to get them to call Texas, as nothing is uncomplicated  An email and text has advised that the office building has been badly damaged again by another water leak this time worst than the last  our office is ok as it's above the leak but we will all be working from home at least on Monday and could be longerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
No report from me this week as I was struck down with a stomach bug midweek and have spent most of the last three days in bed (only exercise has been running to the bathroom!) I know I've lost weight but it won't be a true loss, so won't report it in as it will come back now I'm eating again (albeit small amounts).

Good evening everyone :hello:
Gingerlily, Procrastinator, Toonie I’m very sorry to hear you’re all poorly, and hope you soon feel much better.
Gingerlily well done on your loss! :j
Procrastinator good going on getting an STS when you’re poorly. :T
Brambling I can only echo your wise words about support. :T: How lovely to have a farmer’s market on your doorstep! Enjoy your working from home day(s), will your cat be happy?
I’m out for lunch tomorrow with my sister, but it will be after I’ve weighed myself, so I hope any damage done
will be repaired by the following Sunday. There won’t be much alcohol involved, as we’re meeting an hour’s drive away.
Dishes of today:
B: bacon and eggs
L: sardine salad (white chicory, beetroot, cress) and a tangerine
D cauliflower bolognaise, cinnamon yogurt
S: cheese and olives (snack or savoury course, as eaten with the after-dinner herbal tea)“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Well done on the loss Gingerlily :T I hope you're feeling better, it's not easy trying to eat healthily when you're not feeling well.
I walked into town and back this morning for a hair appointment, it was cold but lovely not to be raining and I needed to try and walk off a headache its a couple of miles each way. I prefer it cold and dry any day to the mild but very wet weather we have been having. I've slightly unwillingly agreed to work this afternoon I'm just waiting for IT to finish their maintenance to our servers and then a couple of us need to test the systems are still working as they should. I'm at home so not that bad as long as it finish on time at 6pm and not go on to midnight as it has previously
Food wise today has been a bit bitty but other than tasting a bite of sausage and half a falafel in the farmers market I haven't been too bad so far. I was tempted with the falafel wrap from the Syrian food stall in the market as the they were very good probably helped as they were frying them but I walked away
B - Banana
L - Cheese and apple - as it was nearly 2pm when I got home
D - if work finishes by 6pm it will be a vension burger (no bun) from the farmers market with air fried chips and veg of some kind
S - half a falafel and a bite of sausage
Well done for avoiding the falafel.Blue_Doggy wrote: »Good evening everyone :hello:

A whole week to burn off lunch sounds do-able.
I am intrigued by cauliflower bolognaise. Is it replacing the meat or the pasta?0 -
Hello all, I got to my weigh in today and very pleased to find I have lost 9 pounds. I stuck to plan very closely and no alcohol, also been doing lots of walking and swimming. I expect weight loss to slow down now to a pound or two a week, if I stick with it.Sealed Pot Challenge #135

Hi, please can I join in the new challenge. I used to participate in the challenges, and at one time I went from 12 stone to just over 8 stone, and swore the weight would never go back on, as I'd finally learnt that you cannot lose weight and then go back to 'eating normally', as that's what gets you fat in the first place. However, life events put a stop to that plan. My dad passed away in June 2014, my M.I.L was seriously ill and almost died in 2015, then the following year my DH became ill, was diagnosed with cancer in March and passed away at the end of July of that year. Since losing my DH I have struggled to get back on track, as I am an emotional eater, and also don't have anyone at home to encourage me.
I hate what I see in the mirror, I get out of breath easily and hardly anything fits me, I have 1 coat that I can just about do up, but it is really tight, so I need to do something about my weight as I am now over 11 stone again, which is not good for someone who's barely 5 feet tall!
Since Christmas I have eaten almost nothing but junk, (including a whole box of maltesers tonight), but now all the Christmas 'naughties' have gone and I resisted the temptation to buy any when I went shopping, hopefully I will stand a chance of getting back on it, especially if I post on here.
I would like to go for 12lbs and I will weigh in on Fridays.

I am so sorry to hear about the terrible things you have gone through. For most of us it only takes a bit of distraction for the pounds to go back on, never mind something like that!
It is good that you want to get back into your best shape, but try not to hate what you see in the mirror.
Why not look at the reflection of a fabulously strong woman who has been to hell and back, and STILL has the determination to get fit, and be proud of that?0 -
Hello All
Well a horrendous weekend of eating and that was only Friday and saturday:eek:
Today we are having roast chicken with all the trimmings and dd and I decided to try out our new Bundt tin that my dm bought us and made a cherry and lemonade cake for pud. My dm will be round to see the kids next week so I shall pack up some large slices for her to take home for her and my df.
Still hoping to recoup a bit by Wednesday
Welcome Sue, so sorry to hear that the last few years have been so devastating for you but Honey is right, when you look in the mirror, you should be proud of the strength that has gotten you through to now and beyond xx
Wow 2goals2get2 that's brilliant well done you :T
Gingerlily, Procrastinator and Toonie hope you are all feeling tip top soon xx
Blue Doggy enjoy your lunch with you sister, it's lovely to spend time with family xx
Right I'm off to change the beds and catch up on some housework (and try to burn so me calories in advance of my cake:cool:)
Enjoy your Sunday xx'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess
