    Good morning all,

I have STS this week which is a fair reflection on how hard I didn't try. My cooking mojo seems to have left the house round about mid December and I'm still waiting for it to come back. I have a freezer full of food that I can't really imagine being anything other than frozen raw ingredients.

I will try to use a bit more food imagination this week!

    Take care all of you

    Morning All,

Sunflowers Hello and welcome. Much like Brambling, I don't think I could cope with meal replacement shakes, I like food far too much and still have memories of feeling very ill after a slimfast shake about 20 years ago, but best of luck with it.

s_glover I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. You can console yourself with the fact that eating crisps should've got some salt to your throat so hopefully its antibacterial properties will work their magic

Sirens Well done on the loss, especially after worrying about last weekend

Honey Sorry you had a STS. I can sympathise with being good and weight not seeming to want to shift. My fitbit reckons I burn around 2,700 calories a day and I'm eating around 1,400 yet I lost half a pound last week and seem to have put it back on this week - I'm just hoping it levels itself out for Monday's weigh in. As tempting as it is to say "s0d it" and give up, best of luck sticking with it.

patentgirl Well done on the loss, I'd take that as a good week rather than an 'only' :)

Brambling I'm not sure that I'd consider missing out on cupcakes a fair reward for a 3 hour meeting!!

Blue Doggy Unfortunately, or fortunately if considering the fact that it means I didn't eat too many, there's still most of a tub of cheeselets left so the willpower fairy needs to stay put a little longer. Sorry that senior doggy's not feeling great at the moment. I know it's worrying as wanting cuddles is unusual but doggy cuddles are also quite lovely, however they come about.

procrastinator Good luck with getting out and getting some exercise today. I sometimes find that 'in' days actually end up being more strenuous than exercise - I don't think any exercise has ever made me hurt as much as deep-cleaning the kitchen does :D

Cranky Well done on a STS and I hope your mojo comes back soon.

Yesterday's food went pretty well to plan, I stuck to 1.5 Hotel Chocolat violet creams and a galaxy caramel Celebrations for my chocolate snacks and for dinner I threw a tonne of veg which needed using up (courgette, pepper, mushrooms, onions, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans, carrots, brussels) into a pan with a load of garlic, Chinese 5 spice, soy sauce and a splash of sweet chilli dipping sauce. I added some rice and veggie pulled pork and it was lovely, which is just as well seeing as it's what I've got for lunch today.

    B - Marmite on toast
    L - rice veggie thing
D - I'm undecided so far. It's C25K again tonight so it needs to be something quick and easy. Maybe omelette.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and that there aren't too many temptations to battle xx

Blue Doggy, I don't know if you're using any supplements for your dog's arthritis, but I can highly recommend the Winston & Porter Hip and Joint Supplements. I use it for both my border collies.

Or maybe slippery elm, Blue Doggy?
Our next door dog neighbour, Rex, was taking it for arthritis and he was running around like a puppy after a couple of weeks. :)
  • Todays plan

Three scandinavian bran crackers with cheese, and carrots.

    Spaghetti bolognaise.

    Possibly porridge.

Not going well so far because I am starving to death after the crackers!
  • Afternoon all, Sorry I have t been around, after loosing our electricity last week and thinking everything was 'back to normal ' ( or as normal as it will ever be in our house..!! It runs out the internet/phone line short circuited so we've been without internet/phone for the majority of the time!! I'm pleased to say I've been more energetic rather than looking at the computer but sadly only loosing 1lb this week!! I'm walking the 5k tomorrow with the dog, DS and DH run it in half the time it takes me!!! I've also taken on walking a wee one (hyperactive) every morning - that's certainly keeping me fit!! I've also found a chocolate fix , low fat hot chocolate drink, just enough to curb my chocolate fix , well for the time being anyway!
    Brekkie, Cheerios
Pasta and basil salad and youghrt
It will be shared pizza with two strapping lads and DH , I'll try and be good , Hope everyone has a lovely weekend x

Honey if you're starving can you eat some fruit or another heathy snack after breakfast, otherwise if you're like me you're have a oh s*d it moment and eat whatever you can get your hands on

Violet Creams Izadora _pale_ did you also eat parma violets as a child? :rotfl:

Dinner tonight will be something similar to Izadoras rice veggie thing but with prawns :) I have a large selection of veg in the fridge so it will be a little bit of each

I did :D I actually still quite like them now. The violet creams are less violety, it's a small amount of cream inside dark chocolate, but they're lovely and only 45 calories each for a very good chocolate hit. They were a gift but I might have to get some more...

Hi all, thanks for the welcome and kind words, I am trying to be proud of myself for surviving after all I've been through, but it's not easy.

This week I have been quite good, did a bit of exercise (not as much as I should but it's a start), and been eating less, and I'm pleased to report a loss of 2lbs this week!

I have to admit I had sausage in batter and chips from the chippy last night, when my niece and her son came to stay, but we only had 1 portion of chips between us so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Also I had only eaten a bowl of porridge and 3 peaches throughout the day.
