Well it's payday today, hurrah!
That final nursery bill has now been paid
I had some money left in the account yesterday so I've ordered some period pants, I really want to try them.
Trying to be organised, so I've ordered DH's birthday present, and booked a fitting for next week for the kid's school shoes.
We're probably going to go out this weekend for the day as it's our 12th Wedding anniversary.. We'll get a takeaway for a treat. The kids start their swimming lessons again this weekend as well. We'll see how it goes. Little miss will not be keen with the teacher not in the pool to help, so if she's not going to try I won't keep her going. I'll give it a few weeks though as she might surprise us!
Hope everyone has a good weekend

We've been out for the day today. It was awful. It wasn't too bad this morning early but this afternoon it was packed. My knee was hurting too from walking up the banks so I am a bit grumpy. I forgot the suncream and my face mask wouldn't fit properly so it was a waste of time. I also dropped somewhere a full bottle of sanitiser. I'd literally just swapped it for one that was nearly empty but would probably have sufficed. So another annoyance to add to my grumps
I tend to avoid busy locations anyway during the summer, so today has reminded me that I shall continue to do that. I just feel bad that the kids are constantly stuck at home not doing anything while I'm working. We shall find quieter locations or leave earlier in future.
Anyway, in happier news, my period pants have arrived and look really comfy. I also remembered that I had another set of scales that I packed away a few years ago, so dug them out and they have a larger weight limit on them, so I can now weigh myself again. It's not pretty but at least I'll be able to see if I'm making any progress.
Have a good weekend everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
I'm really glad DH's job is safe for now and it's good that you've paid your last nursery bill
.
Were you at one of those really busy beaches that were on the news today? It sounds like lots of beaches were packed out today. At least you'll know to go somewhere different another time. I hope your knee feels better soon.
Sorry you lost your sanitiser. I've stocked up on 500ml bottles of sanitiser and refill mini bottles for us to carry around with us in our pockets/bags. DH keeps a mini bottle of sanitiser in the car too. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

DH keeps a mini bottle of sanitiser in the car too.We were at West Bay in the morning which is usually a bit quieter and left at lunchtime, then we stopped in Lyme Regis in the afternoon - we knew it would be busier but it was heaving! I shall stick to going out of season like I normally do. People are insane. The number of people sat at the bottom of the cliffs right next to the cliff falls was crazy! Those cliffs are so unstable! It was climbing up all the shingle at West Bay that hurt my knee which is still painful from my fall the other week. It seems better this morning thankfully!
It was only a little bottle of sanitiser so no great loss, but I was just annoyed that it was the full one from my car which I had just swapped for the one which was about 1/4 full in my bag. I've got some more, but I think i will get a big bottle so I can just refill. I carry one in my bag and we have a spare in each of the cars too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I'm in a better mood this morning thankfully! Looks like part of my grumpiness was hormonal too
Not much planned today other than swimming lessons. I might do a bit in the garden later. Hope everyone is well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
Good news on DH's job and woohoo to payday and no more nursery fees. Let me know how you go on with the period pants as it's something I've been looking at.

JueI'm trying the pants today, and so far so good. They are really comfortable. I'm very impressed so far!
