I'm ok, struggling a lot with anxiety and stuff at the moment.

Hope everyone is well.
I'm really struggling at the moment, I need to dig myself out of this hole. My anxiety has reared it's head again which is the first for quite a long time. I just feel like I'm failing at everything. I was looking through all the work people had sent in to little jwil's school. We've tried to keep up with his work, but I just haven't had the time to teach him, so I feel like I've let him down. People have done all these fancy things, made loads of effort, and we've just done the bare minimum.
I'm glued to the computer all day. I'm feeling resentful about work as I'm still helping others get on top of their backlogs, but get little acknowledgement and no response when I look for information for my own tasks. I feel like I'm giving lots and getting nothing back.
My healthy eating and exercise are just completely out of the window. I've got no energy and no motivation. I just want to curl up in bed and stay there.
I'll stop whinging now. Sorry folks."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
There will be loads of full time workers who haven’t had time to dedicate to full time teaching too. You may have seen some work from people furloughed or home all the time anyway, you certainly haven’t let little jwil down by making sure he has food and security!I know what you mean about work though...a thank you goes a long way and boy are they rare! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I agree with Suzanne about other people having more time to spend on the schoolwork. Also you should never compare yourself to other people>>> I saw a quote the other day that said 'comparison is the thief of joy' and never were truer words said. The people concerned may spend time doing the schoolwork to make it look good, but you can't know how happy their kids are, whilst you know that yours are very happy. Never judge a book by its cover.Do you have to help the people at work to catch up on their backlogs ie is it part of your job to do that? If not then learn to say no, say you've got too much work of your own, and it's a two way street where helping is concerned that has only been going one way! Some people will just take advantage if you let them. (((hugs)))I really hope that you start to feel better soon, and realise what a lovely person you are. XXI Believe.....

That's true, it is mostly the same people who are sending photos in.
Yes, a little thank you takes no time and means a lot!Chrystal said:I agree with Suzanne about other people having more time to spend on the schoolwork. XXI'm usually the first to say don't compare, but I think it's just feeling low anyway, and that was the last straw really, it fed on my guilt already.
I was asked to help with the backlog by the senior managers so I did have to. It's not something I would normally have to do, but I have had to help a few times. There was a perfect storm of circumstances which hit at the same time, there would normally be a few minor problems, but these coincided with the lockdown which made minor problems big problems, and then added a load more issues! There were so many enquiries and complaints coming in that it was impossible to keep up with. I think my problem is that I'm fairly methodical so can whizz through them fairly quickly, and some of my work was postponed too. They have got some extra help now, so I'm stepping back again thankfully. I've now got to tackle my own backlog of work!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
