    Happy weekend everyone!

The good news is that the kindle went back on offer the other day, so the kid's gifts have been sorted, and now I've got my new one too.  DH bought mine, and said I didn't have to wait til Christmas to get it :)  I traded in my old one, and so as well as it being on offer, got 20% off and a £5 voucher too, so that made a nice difference.  I've also traded in my old Kindle fire as it's the original edition, very slow and we don't use it.  So I'll get the voucher anyway, and 20% off if I replace it.  I haven't decided whether I will or not, but it might be handy to have a spare for the kids.

We've met with family today which was the first time since before Covid, so that was nice and the kids enjoyed seeing their cousins.  We are heading into town later for the Christmas festivities and to see if we can get little miss an outfit for her party.

I've had my car insurance renewal and it's cheaper than last year!  I will check before it runs out though.

Our toilet flush broke, but DH managed to fix it, hurrah!  Grand total of £5 to replace a part.

I'm still being spendy at the moment, but am just going to suck it up and then cut back again next year.  The school are trying to raise money with various activities, and the kids like to take part.

Decluttering is still ongoing albeit slowly.  I took a couple of bags of clothing to the clothes banks the other day.

If you go to the device page as if you were going to buy one, below where you would add it to your basket, there is a button which says 'save 20% with trade in'. (This is on a laptop).  If you click on that button, you can choose the device you want to trade in and they give you a value.  If you accept, they will email you a postage label to return.  The credit is applied to your account so you don't need to actually buy the new device at the time.   You'll get the voucher for the trade in value anyway even if you don't use the 20% discount.

Happy weekend everyone!  It's been a hectic week and I don't feel like I've achieved much.

I took a day off sick this week for the first time in years.  I was rough, and for once I didn't think I could even manage working from home. It felt like a real luxury to go back to bed once I'd dropped the kids off at school.  I've done an online consult with the GP as this just seems to be part of a niggling problem that seems to recur.  I've got a phone call next week.  I'm hoping for a bit of further investigation this time.  It's triggering my health anxiety a bit, but hopefully is nothing.

Little miss has her birthday party this weekend, she's very excited.  We've also got the first of her new swimming lessons tomorrow, so I should have a couple of hours tomorrow as DH is on swimming duty this weekend 😁  Because I didn't go into the office this week, I now need to go out and get the birthday cake and a couple of bits I had planned to get.

I have however, managed to sort, list and wrap the majority of my christmas presents!  Go me!  I now have a list of a few bits I need to get, but am mostly done, hurrah!

I did a few listings for DH, once these end, we'll have our break from ebay for a couple of weeks until the Christmas craziness is over. I'll then relist so they end over christmas to avoid postal delays.

I had a random text from an insurer I used a few years ago, asking me to contact them.  As it's time for my car insurance to be renewed, I assumed they were trying to flog me a policy so ignored it.  Yesterday I got a letter saying they'd overcharged me and want to send me a £23 refund!  I phoned them quickly after that :D

Surveys have picked up a bit for me this week, so I've cashed out a couple of times and send the money to the mortgage.  I've also received my trade in voucher for amazon.  It all helps!
