Totally fantastic news all round. You're smashing it jwil. Keep going xxxHopefully I can make a difference over the next couple of weeks. DH hasn't done any more up there yet, but at least it's useable. Little miss has 'painted' patches with my nail varnish 😖 He hasn't spotted that yet, so I'll try and remove it before he sees it!

First proper day off today and we've had a nice day. I did some listing this morning whilst we waited for the shopping to arrive, and then I took the kids out on a park crawl. We discovered a new one in the area which I didn't know existed until a couple of weeks ago. It was a lovely green space with a play park, picnic benches and fruit trees. I clearly haven't explored enough locally! We also went to one of the kids favourites and a few parks that I used to frequent when I was a child. It was nice to reminisce!
It was a nice frugal day until I went to the farm shop on the way home 🤦♀️ I didn't spend too much though. It wasn't exactly necessary but their doughnuts are to die for!
This afternoon we just chilled around the house and I did a bit of tidying as well as relaxing with a book."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Oops! I just bought a bra (needed), bath mat (needed but not essential), and then spotted the new Stephen King book comes out tomorrow, so ordered that too! So much for having a less spendy month... 🙄"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Books are essential! Although he’s never quite beaten Firestarter and Salem’s Lot in my humble opinion. Salem’s Lot is the only horror I’ve ever read that really gave me the proper scary feeling ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

The only book that ever has. I have lots of favourites of his though - The Stand is my ultimate one. SK is the only author I buy in hardcopy as soon as they come out. I have my collection of first editions.

She's very much like me, likes eating, sitting in the sun and avoiding people

My book has just arrived, hurrah! Better than last night when a parcel of cat food turned up at 9pm and I was in bed
I was watching stuff on my ipad and luckily was still dressed! DH was snoring on the sofa, we're a wild household
I took the kids to the park again today, they wanted to go to three that we visited yesterday and a fourth that they go to regularly. So another park crawl today. Again it cost nothing but fuel, and I had to nip little miss into the supermarket to use the toilets, but didn't spend anything there either.
I've worked this afternoon as I had set a deadline for receiving an external report and then promptly booked leave for that date 🤦♀️ I've read through the report and fed back some comments, and then have to have a meeting tomorrow to discuss. Hopefully it will be a short one and then that will be it!
