How lovely to read this! Go you!! Xx
Wish I’d had your realisation at your age.  It’ll save you so many wasted years
    Thank you all :)

What a lovely post @jwil…well done, I’m proud of you ⭐️
I’m currently trying to get out of that mindset and also out of saving the good clothes for best, but it’s really hard. Why shouldn’t we wear bright things we love? I want to be one of those old ladies flouncing about in whatever the heck they want…I have a little time to work on this 😬 The first step is always to love yourself more than caring about what others might think…and why shouldn’t/wouldn’t we love ourselves? The world has done some crazy conditioning on us all hasn’t it!
Your sounding so positive Jwil, well done xx
    Thank you both :)

    Love this, thank you :)

I saw a quote last week - the beach'll get whatever body I give it.

No bikini for me. Mum got me to try one when I was joining her for swimming lessons - she started when she was 40 and I was 19. When I first went to be fitted for a bra, the lady said I was going to have problems as I had a very narrow back and was going to have a full bosom. So we went to a shop which supposedly had swimwear in cup sizes. I was a C-cup at the time. Tried on a bikini and it was horrendous. Wire and a bit of fabric and I felt extremely vulnerable - no way was I going for swimming lessons and having to scoop my bosom back into the cups every time I tried to move. Bought a lovely costume instead.
I think I'm definitely a costume person too.

Just catching up and you are going from strength to strength. I love your new body confidence. Your attitude is inspiring :)
    Aww thank you :)
