Flipping heck jwil. You're making so much progress at home. I'm really happy you've sorted out your TV aerial. You definitely needed it sorting. Glad tiniest jwil wants her own space. Definitely good sign of independence.
Glad you've noticed the difference in girl and boy clothing sizes too. It's madness. Girls and boys are no different yet they make the sizing so different. No wonder we all have complexes.
Debt... well actually your money spreadsheet looks totally fantastic. You are so nearly there. Well you are nailing this and have great financial outlook. So brilliant. Next stage is having the home you deserve. Xxx

Hi jwil just catching up. Sounds like you’ve had a tough few weeks. I hope work has eased up a little now? Glad you are getting a couple of days to yourself this week. Little jwil will be so glad to get back to school - has he two weeks left? My fingers are firmly crossed we all get to the end of term with no bubbles bursting. Hope you get the windows and the electrician recommendation comes off xx4

It's ridiculous about the clothes. Little miss wears 8-9 in girls, yet can wear 5-6 in boys and they are still bigger. It makes me so cross and just sets them up for a lifetime of insecurity!
I finally feel like the end is in sight with the debt, I have had years of struggle, and some immense luck with the write-offs, but it will be nice to turn the focus on the house now!BalanceBy50 said:Hi jwil just catching up. Thank youI've passed my big deadline at work which is a huge relief, but the other issues are still ongoing which means I've been co-opted to help out other teams now who have a huge backlog. Hopefully I can get a bit of breathing space though. I've had 4 days of flexi this month, but I'm still over 30 hours up after taking that!
Little jwil is very pleased to go back, and yes 2 weeks left. I'm just hoping we can get through that ok! I'm working the first week of the holidays, so at least if they have to isolate at all then, then they won't miss out on anything.

Well, if DH thinks that I'm a nag, he's met nothing yet
. Little miss is determined to have that room, and is hounding him asking whether he's going to do a bit more clearing today 😂😂 She's already told me how she wants it decorated (hearts, flowers and rainbows) and what furniture she needs (to store her ordinary clothes and her 'glamourous' clothes).
We have to take DH's car to the garage today as it keeps coming up with a engine malfunction warning. Hopefully that won't be too big a bill, he's already spent over £1k over the last few months!
I've told the kids they can stay up to watch the football later if they want to. We are not a football household, but it will be nice to see them win if they make it.
Have a good day everyone!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -

God love that little doll. I hope she gets her way. She deserves it. What a sweetie. And goodness knows be deserves to be nagged.
You can get some great wall stickers now so shouldn't be too hard to make it up to her standards. Then once she's out you can get little jwils room up to his standard. You were aiming to sort their room first anyway xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Ooh, that's a good idea about wall stickers, thank you kitten! I hadn't thought about that."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
