dawnybabes said:If you are a cake snob don't come here 😂 I slightly overcooked the choc chip ones. They are fine but a bit dry. Well done on getting on the RM survey, the others are so much better value! - this is what custard is made for 🤣🤣🤣WinterWarrior said:have you tried them warmed with ice cream? That can save many a bake 😋HairyHandofDartmoor said:Good news that stuff is being de-cluttered by DH. I've never read Judy Blume or Biggles. I used to love Malcolm Saville as a child and also pony books 😂 .
I've never read Malcolm Saville, but they sound right up my street as I am a big Enid Blyton fan! I was never really into pony books, but we used to read the Babysitters Club books a lot as well 😂CRANKY40 said:The custard comment made me laugh. My gran bought me a birthday cake from goodness knows where one year. My cousins and I took turns knocking on the top of it and my aunty said rather grimly "never mind, we'll have it with custard". 😂 Gran produced a fruit cake one Christmas that we got the knife stuck in when we tried to cut it. She obviously had a secret supply from a dodgy bakery somewhere.

I used to love Enid Blyton too and the Chalet School books

I remember reading the Bobbsey Twins too - I think it was part of a series but I only ever read one. I loved that."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Little miss did Parkrun again this morning after she went to her swimming lesson. I wasn't planning on it as it was wet yesterday but she wanted to. Due to a miscommunication between DH and I she went around by herself. She was so brave and determined. I walked to various points so that I could see her as she went around, but without slowing her down.
Other than that, not a lot achieved today. I've done 20 listings."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
The secret garden was the first chapter book I ever got really sucked into...I feel like I should read it again now.

I hope everyone is well
I've been feeling a bit rough again this week, but have my follow up appointment with the doc this week so will mention it then. Work is busy so it could just still be anxiety/stress.
My watch broke, so I have bought a new one, with a good portion covered by vouchers.
Not much to report really!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5
