My son's iphone died in much the same manner when it was 4 months old. It was replaced after a phone call and sending it back. Communication wasn't the best - we sent it off then a mystery box appeared the next week with a new phone in it but actually replacing it didn't seem to be a problem.6

That's good to hear it was replaced ok, hopefully it won't be any bother.CRANKY40 said:My son's iphone died in much the same manner when it was 4 months old. Hope everyone is well

Today I have received my £50 cheque, woo hoo! I paid it in straight away through the app, and just need to wait for it to clear. I'm debating on what to do with it, but think I might use it to get some premium bonds.
I've also received the box to return the ipad so that's all packaged up and ready to go. DH has suggested he'll drop it off for me, otherwise I'll most likely do it at the weekend if he hasn't managed to. The drop off point is across town and there are roadworks everywhere at the moment, pretty much every major route has roadworks on so traffic around town is a nightmare."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". My cheque has cleared nice and quickly so I've bought the premium bonds. I'm still doing my PADs each day and I'm still on track to finish paying off the car next week. It still feels so good to be making progress

Excellent news.
Are premium bonds easy to purchase? Do they send you actual paperwork or is it all online? Very curious about these. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Very easy. It's all online now and the minimum level is £25 rather than the £100 it used to be. You just buy more using a debit card or bank transfer. They email you if you win, and when setting up the account you choose whether to have winnings sent to a bank account or reinvested. I buy £25 a month. I haven't won anything yet, but like the fact that it's a bit like a lottery without losing the investment.WinterWarrior said:Excellent news.
